2 AND A HALF WEEKS LATER:
Tarryn exhales as she gets ready for her appointment. It was Saturday morning and she had to get her thoughts clear. While Ephraim was in the shower, she packed his bag while also going through it so he have everything he needs.
The wedding was next Saturday, and their bridal and groom festivities start on Thursday, really Wednesday for Tarryn but she was excited for that too. Their wedding party already took off of work just like they did just so everyone can fully participate. It really feels surreal now. Of course she was happy and of course she couldn't wait to walk down the aisle, but her dress. That's what she was worried about.
A few weeks back she went in the bridal boutique and switched out her dress because she's pregnant. The crazy part about the whole ordeal is that she didn't even try it on yet but she got also got it 2 sizes bigger than her normal size. I mean, it was on the mannequin in the corner somewhere.
Nonetheless, she seen it and she loved it. It wasn't her original dress with her original dramatic style, but she knew that she would look pretty in it.
Ephraim got out of the shower with a towel on with a smile on his face. He knew exactly what today was and he couldn't contain his excitement. They were going to find out what they are having and how far along she is was. Tarryn was already dressed in white knitted dress that came at the knees and she paired with with her new black Uggs that Ephraim bought her. Her hair was down per usual and she accessorized with silver jewelry.
Ephraim decided to match her fly and wear a white Champion crew neck sweater, dark grey denim jeans with small distress at the knees and black Timberland boots. He didn't put on any cologne this time because the last time he wore cologne which was yesterday, Tarryn hid it from him. That gave him the indication that she is beginning to get sensitive to smells. It was his favorite one too.
They did their normal which was checking to see if they had everything, praying over the house and now talking to the baby. They talked to the baby often and that was something that they enjoyed.
They got in the car and they were on their way. Tarryn had reached a new gestational week and she was excited about that. She was nervous yet excited for this appointment. At this moment, she was feeling a mix of emotions. She already fell in love with her body and allowed it to do its thing when she got over the external things that she cannot control. Hence, the newfound stretch marks and the weight gain. Her body was doing its thing and she can no longer be upset about it.
When they arrived at the hospital, Tarryn takes a deep breath and then gets out. Hand in hand, they walked to the hospital and make it inside. They check in with the receptionist and once that was squared away, they sat down and Tarryn lays her head on his shoulder.
"I'm hungry," Tarryn randomly said.
"What intrigues your palate?" He asks as he played with her nails.
She shrugged. "Ion know. Something salty, something sweet." In her mind she was thinking about sprinkling some sugar on a pickle but in her right mind, that shit just sounded nasty.
"So fried chicken dipped in syrup?" He tossed out.
"Ouuu that sounds good. More like salty ass pretzels with whip cream or chocolate." He gave her a neutral face because that combo didn't sound too bad. Long as it wasn't a hard-boiled egg dipped in molasses.
