"You're really getting married, bro," Exodus said, watching Ephraim smile as he helped his friend inside his guest room.

"Me neither man. I thought I'd never see the day." Ephraim continued to smile as he thought about Tarryn. They both lodged Exodus's luggage on the bed and sped out of the area, racing each other down the stairs like children.

The pair reached the sofa and sat on it, catching their breath. After they caught their breaths, Exodus began to look around and admired his surroundings.

His living room was nicely schemed with the colors Tan and Silver with a hint of Brown. It was manly and had a warm undertone to it.

He noticed that there are tons of photos across the windowsill of Tarryn and Ephraim. Some were goofy photos, holiday photos, church photos and even photos of them when Ephraim became Senator and Tarryn becoming Attorney General.

Their degrees hanged on the wall like centerpieces along with their caps and their hoods. He loved the fact that they exuded Black Excellence.

"How did you know she was the one?" Exodus asks suddenly which caused Ephraim to look at him. The blank stare quickly turned into a small smile.

"God revealed her to me in a dream." Exodus' eyes went wide, just as he didn't believe what he heard.

"What was she doing in the dream?" Exodus asks curiously.

"In the dream I was in a dark room; it was cold and lifeless and out of nowhere she came into the dark room and she was of light. She was the sun in the dark room. She was my sun." Ephraim thought back.

"You know before I was elected Senator, I was in a dark place. I lost my grandfather; the only man who was a father to me. I lost my sister, the people around me wasn't good people but she was the light; she was my sun,"

"When we began dating, she brought me closer to God; helped me understand his word more better. She helped me gain a spiritual connection with him instead of an emotional one. She gave me clarity on a lot of things. There was a lot of things that I didn't in but she helped me find what I needed. For that alone, I never wanted to let her go."

"But that's when the dreams started happening. It was like God was giving me hints and shit," They both shared a laugh. "The first dream was about her being my sun and the very last dream I had about Tarryn was her being my wife. I was at the altar; just me and God, waiting for her to take my hand. That was the confirmation that I needed." He smiled as he eyed a picture of Tarryn on the windowsill.

"Did you ever tell Tarryn this?" Ephraim quickly shook his head.

"I just told her that God showed me a sign. The rest I'm gonna put in the vows." He smirked already imagining what her makeup is going to look like afterwards.

"God." Exodus's whispers to himself.

"Pretty cool, right?" Exodus smirked as he looked at his best friend.

Though Exodus loved hearing about God and the good things he has done, he believed every word because he is very much spiritually inclined.  He has his personal relationship with God. A relationship that only he and God understands, as it should be.

"Totally." Hearing about God's signs and wonders isn't new to Exodus. Nonetheless, he was happy that his best friend was about to marry his soulmate.
