ONE MONTH LATER:

Tarryn was uneasy as she went into her office. She shut the door and took a deep breath and sat down. She gets a feeling and she looks around her office, looking for anything out of place.

"Someone been in here, why?" She questioned as she looked around.

You ever get the feeling that someone has been in your sacred place? You don't have no direct evidence but you just know someone been in here? Her mother told her that it could be a spirit that visited or a physical presence. She's hoping that it was a phsyical presence.

Now knowing that someone been in her office, her uneasiness tips her over the edge. Nothing was out of place as she looked on the desk but she gets a thought and has the idea to look under her mouse pad. Her secret sticky note of her aliases are gone.

She knew someone was in here.

Luckily she remembers what the alias and real names are. She powered her laptop on and immediately went to her private database. When she was supposed to be taking a break and enjoying time off with her husband, she couldn't shake what DeMarcus had told her. She looked up Lisa Cambridge in the database and one file came up.

She did a right click on her desk top and she pulled up the unauthorized files and looked at the documents. They weren't unsealed but they were sure encrypted by her. The only other person who has the password to this particular file is Ephraim and that was already crossing confidential boundaries.

Lisa Cambridge wasn't at work that day that Tarryn visited the DEA but she didn't think anything of it because DeMarcus came to her weeks after that and shared that information with her. Him showing up to her office was suspicious and him dropping information was even more suspicious and she told herself that she was going to look into it and she did.

Though she won his case, she uncovered more shit than she ever did with just DeMarcus alone. They were married but there was no marriage license but they did have a common law marriage license, which is still a license within itself. She became a DEA agent in 1991 and she's been at the agency since she was 21. Knowing their birthdays, DeMarcus is 32 which would make her 34. They've been married for a little while but she wondered why they didn't have any kids.

It makes sense as to why they didn't. He was in the military doing dangerous work and she was an agent doing mole investigations and trying to catch the next drug kingpin. No child was going to fit into that.

But what she found was rather telling. Based on the many cars that she's registered to under her alias, she was there when DeMarcus' aunt was killed that night. She knew something wasn't adding up. DeMarcus dropped her name for a reason and all Tarryn needs is a breadcrumb.

"I am thee Attorney General, I have to find a way through this. He wouldn't just drop her name like that." She said to herself.

Truthfully though, this unauthorized case made her uneasy period. She's secretly been working on this case since he came to her office. She works on it piece by piece and each piece just peels back a layer. She doesn't have direct evidence but Lisa Cambridge was involved in some way, shape or form.

A chill goes through Tarryn's spine and that caused her to look up and look around her office. For some weird reason, it felt like she was being watched. It could be her anxiety and uneasiness but it felt like she had a pair of eyes on her.
