Tarryn was beyond annoyed. Her fiancée and his best friend were extremely loud and were being obnoxious. She was currently working on the Demarcus Cambridge case and she thought because it was so noisy at the office, she figured that she would go home because it's more peaceful but boy was she wrong. Instead she came home to clothes everywhere, sodas and chips scattered across her sofa and it smelled in the living room.
Typical boy shit.
She told them that she was working on a case and they promised her that they will keep it down but they lied. Currently they were watching a Raven's game and by the sounds of it, it seemed like the Raven's were loosing.
"Throw the ball dawg!" Ephraim shouted while particles of potato chip flew out of his mouth. Tarryn huffed as she threw the covers off her legs and marched down the steps. She waited on the steps and hoped that Ephraim saw her and the expression that she has on her face. She waited a few moments and he didn't.
She made it all the way down the stairs and found the remote resting on the armrest and she turned the TV off. Exodus gave her a look and Tarryn shot him one back immediately. She held her stare until he backed down and averted his eyes elsewhere.
"Baby, what are you doing?" Ephraim asks in irritation.
"You're too damn loud. I can't concentrate with the TV up that loud and you screaming at the TV like a crazy person every five damn seconds!" She exclaims in which Ephraim smacks his teeth in response.
"The game is on babe! I gotta see who wins and now I will never know because you turned the damn TV off." He responded annoyed. Tarryn was completely caught off guard with his response because he never yelled or exaggerated whether it was just them or around people.
"I don't give a damn, Ephraim. Turn it down or get out." She said placing her hands on her hip and Ephraim sized her up.
Watching the couple go back and forth, Exodus just wanted to be a fly on the wall or preferably invisible.
Ephraim made a face. "Get out? Girl this is my house." He spewed and Tarryn was shocked at her fiancée.
He has never spoken to her like that, ever. Without any emotion on her face, she turned her back to leave, not before noticing the four empty canned Smirnoff drinks that rested upon the floor.
She quietly went back upstairs, not before hearing the TV turning back on with louder volume.
She made it back to the room and she immediately walked into the bathroom and turned the shower water on. She went back into the room and went to their shared closet and she picked out an outfit that was appropriate for where she was going and laid it out on her bed.
She got started on her hair, quickly grabbing the foam and flexirods and started the process of curling her hair. Once she was done, she tied her hair down and topped it off with her XL silk bonnet. She hopped in the shower to wash the politics, stressful energy and anxiety down the drain.
Meanwhile, Ephraim was still into the game while Exodus noticed that the energy in the area was off. He was no longer into the game with his best friend but he wanted his friend to correct the bad energy that he caused.
"Bro..." He touched Ephraim's shoulder. Still into the game, he didn't even notice the tap that Exodus did.
"Broo.." He said louder which causes Ephraim to peek a look. "What is it?" He said while the game went on commercial break.
