Liza pov
"Travis?" I shouted over as I pulled away from Landon.
"Yeah? Wait woah, why are there tears?" He asked as he walked over, seeing both Landon and I with tears steaming down our faces.
I quickly wrote down 'For Marley' underneath each title and showed him the book. He read through the lyrics as I rewrapped my arms around Landon. I heard him place the book down, and then I felt an extra pair of arms wrap around us. It wasn't long before a longer pair of arms also wrapped their arms around us.
"I don't know why we're hugging, but I wanna join." Colson whisper shouted as we all laughed slightly.
"Can she record them now dad?" Landon asked as he turned to Travis.
"Uh, I don't know, Jaden gets here in twenty minutes."
"Fuck this Jaden kid, he can wait." I said as I picked my book up.
"Yeah, I guess that works." He laughed as all three of them walked out of the booth.

Landon povI couldn't believe she wrote a song for him. Two in fact. She was completely broken when he left us, I didn't ever think she'd recover from his death. But I think her way of letting him go is to sing, and by writing her experiences down, she relieves herself of that strain.
"You do realise that Jaden will be here soon right?" Dad asked as he got the recording stuff set up.
"Yeah I do, he'll understand. Plus he's a huge fan of her music." I shrugged as he nodded.
"Okay Lize, just start singing when the light turns on." Dad said through the speaker. She nodded and slowly started singing when the light turned on.
I knew this was going to be difficult to get right. This needed to be perfect for her to be happy with it, and with the amount of emotion she holds behind it, it's going to be hard for her to get it her definition of perfect first time.
She was about to start her fourth run of Ilomilo when Jaden messaged me. I told him what recording room we were in, but told him he needed to be silent when he walked in. He didn't know why but complied anyway.
He walked in, closing the door silently. I waved to him slightly before turning back to Liza. She had tears streaming down her face, but her voice wasn't breaking. She was so close to finishing it, I could feel the excitement bubble inside of me as she got closer and closer to the end.
"... I don't care if it's a lie." She sung out.
I waited for the red light to turn off before cheering and running into the room.
"You did it. That was so fucking good. He'd be so happy Lize." I cheered as she laughed through her tears.
"I can't do the other one today. It's too much." She admitted as she wrapped her arms around me.
"That's fine bub."

Liza pov"You did good kiddo. You should be proud of that." Colson said as I walked out of the studio.
"Thanks." I smiled as I wiped under my eyes slightly.
It was only now that I noticed the other guy in here. Jason, or something. I smiled at him guiltily.
"Sorry for taking over your slot." I said.
"It's good. Your song is good by the way." He smiled as he pushed off the wall he was leaning on.
"Oh, uhm, thanks." I didn't know how to react, I didn't know he heard it.
"Oh right, Liza, this is Jaden Hossler. And Jaden, this is Liza Boeman." Travis said when he realised we didn't know each other.
"Hossler? I recognise that name. Landon."
"Yeah?"
"I swear you showed me one of his songs before. Wasn't it like- I can't remember." I groaned, not being able to remember the name of the song, which sucks because it was a really good song.
"This my jog your shocking memory; come tomatoes." He said randomly.
"I'm sorry, what?" Jaden asked, obviously not recognising that name.
"You can't just say that out of context. But it did jog my memory. The song he showed me was Comatose, but I can't read to save my life, and I was high, so I read it as come tomatoes. It's a really good song by the way." I laughed as I explained the story behind it.
"First off thank you. But second, I don't think I've ever heard someone pronounce it that way." He laughed.
"Well, I'm just one of a kind." I answered back.
"One of a kind that belongs in the looney bin." Colson mumbled.
"Don't even get me fucking started on you. I'm still pissed at you for earlier." I said as I turned around and pointed a finger at him.
"Oh fuck off. You'll be fine. If you're that desperate, go and do it yourself."
"I can do it myself, it's just fun to have someone else there."
"Can you shut up? No one give a shit about the fact that he broke your orgasm." Landon said as he pushed the two of us away. It wasn't a real argument, it was a playful one.
"Landon, when was the last time you went to see Marley?" I asked him as I picked up my bag.
"A week ago. Why you going today?" He answered as he sorted through some papers on the table.
"Yeah. I'm gonna go talk to him. Jaden, it was nice to meet you. Asshole, I hate you as always. Travis, I'll probably see you at some point this week, but I love you anyway. And you, I'm still mad at you for cheating on me with I don't know who." I recited as I smiled at him sarcastically.
"Oh, it was with him." Landon said as he looked up and pointed to Jaden.
"Jaden, never mind it was not nice to meet you. Stealing my best friend, the fuck is this?" I laughed as I shut the door and walked out.
