"Damn, I thought it was going to be one small tattoo, I wasn't expecting you to get a full on half sleeve done today." Landon laughed as we walked out of the parlour.

"It's for Liza." I stated simply. "Nothing will ever be small when it comes down to her."

My entire left forearm was covered in red, green and black ink. On the outside of my arm I had a string of roses encasing the entirety of my arm. There wasn't a single bit of normal skin visible. On the inside of my arm I had her name written in italics with her birthdate and her death date underneath. Above that I had the words "rest easy baby" written, and finally above all of it, I had her last three heartbeats before she flatlined.

"You know she'd love that. Red roses were always her favourite." He smiled as he rotated my arm to see the inside. "Jesus." I knew this was gonna be hard for some people to see, but I love it. "Are you sure you want to be reminded of that?" He asked, seeming weary.

"Yeah I'm sure. It's for her, so it'll be worth it." I answered, making him nod.

"I'm sure. Right, keys now. I need to drive you to the next location." He demanded, clicking at me for the keys.

"Keep fucking clicking at me and you can click, click, click yourself an Uber and I'll go back to Liza's." I warned, taking the key out of my pocket and passing them to him.

"Just get in the fucking car."

******

"Why are we at my house?" I asked as we pulled up inside my gates. I dread to think how much it still smells like her.

"You'll find out in due time my curious little rabbit. Now come on, get out." He answered, leaving me in the dark.

I reluctantly got out and walked up behind him. As soon as the door was opened, I immediately felt my heart drop as I heard the sound of paws tapping faints the hardwood floor. I forgot about Juice.

"Hello Juice." Landon laughed as the dog jumped up to hug him. "Don't worry Jaden, I've been having Bama come over everyday to make sure he got food and water. She also installed a dog flap in the backyard doors so he can go outside when he needed." He assured as he saw the look on my face.

"Thank fuck for that." I sighed as I melted against the dog that was rubbing circles around me, all excited to see me again. "Hi baby." I laughed as he accidentally swiped my leg causing me to fall onto one knee next to him.

"Come on you big lug. Let's go." Landon laughed as he helped me up.

I followed him up stairs and down the hall to my room. He stopped outside the door and turned around to smirk at me. I was going to ask why he was smirking at me until he held out a blindfold.

"Absolutely fucking not."

"It's all a part of the plan. Just do it." I rolled my eyes and reluctantly pulled it over my eyes. "Thank you."

I felt him grab my arm and pull me forwards. I followed where he was taking me, trying hard to remember where I had walls and where I didn't because I didn't fully trust him not to walk me in to one.

He walked me all the way to the middle of the room before stopping. I felt him let go of my arm and move away. I waited for him to tell me it was okay to remove the blindfold so I didn't get bitched at for doing it by myself.

"You can look now."

I quickly took the blindfold off but kept my eyes shut so they wouldn't immediately be stung by the light. I slowly opened my eyes and blinked a couple times before looking around. As I lifted my eyes straight up I saw a wooden frame with a lot of red, black and white on it. It was only when I started to read the words that I realised what it was.

"This is a project that Liza has been working on for the past three weeks

"This is a project that Liza has been working on for the past three weeks. This is the real reason as to why she was away from you for so long, not because she was working on her album. That's been finished for months now." He explained.

She was never cheating. She was working on your fucking present.

My eyes scanned over all the sheet of wood. Everything was spray painted, telling me it was all done from scratch. I looked down in the bottom corner to see she had signed her name. I could feel my eyes sting slightly as I thought about the lengths she went to, to do this for me.

And she's not even here to give it to me.

"She did this?" I asked, walking closer to it so I can get a better look.

"It was all her idea. She's been working on it since before New Years, but it only started being brought together two days after. I was employed to help towards the end and make sure she took care of herself. I also had to help move it from DTA because that's where it was originally, but you had to show up and she was scared you were gonna see it."

I remember a day going to DTA and Liza was acting really weirdly. She was adamant on keeping me in the recording room and even came with me to go to the toilet. I remember seeing Landon wander around every now and then, carrying tools or paints in his hands.

"Now, I could continue explaining to you all the ins and outs of what she did, but I'm gonna let her do it." He smirked, pulling out his laptop.

"What?"

He didn't answer me, but instead pulled out a usb stick. I watched intently as he opened up his files and clicked on the hard drive. I felt a lump forming in my throat as her face popped up on the screen. Oh god that smile.
