I woke up when I felt Liza roll off of me. My back felt weird, so I sat up and realised we had fallen asleep on the towels. I made the mistake of looking over at Liza, just to confirm my suspicions that we did just fall asleep after getting out of the shower. And to admire her body.

I got up and grabbed a pair of sweatpants from my closet, also grabbing a pair for Liza along with a shirt. I walked over and pulled the sweats up her legs, lightly running my fingers over the bruises on her hips before tying them off at her waist so they didn't fall off when she moved. Putting the shirt on her body proved to be a more difficult task than I expected because she kept moving.

"You're such a pain in the ass." I mumbled, knowing she was awake and doing this to wind me up.

"I heard you like pains in your ass. Brings you pleasure last time I checked." She smirked up at me, opening her eyes.

"You think you're so funny don't you?" She nodded proudly, laughing when I grabbed a hold of her legs and pulled her off the bed.

"Ouch." She mumbled.

"I'm gonna go downstairs and get some food, you coming?" I asked as she yawned and stretched, pushing her chest out.

"Yeah I will. But I'm gonna get dressed properly first." She replied, standing up on wobbly legs, making me smirk slightly.

"Okay, I'll see you down there. You know your way down yeah?" I asked.

"Yeah I do." She replied, making me nod and turn to the door. "Wait, put this on before you go." She instructed, chucking the shirt over at me that I got out for her.

"Why?" I was confused but did it anyway.

"Your mom said no sex in the house and you were about to walk down there like you lost a fight to a grizzly bear." She explained with a proud tone.

"Cut your fucking nails and it wouldn't be a problem." She laughed as I winced slightly from the fabric touching my back.

"Don't be a baby." She dismissed before strutting off into the bathroom.

I laughed to myself before leaving my room and shutting the door. Everyone in this house is nocturnal so they aren't going to be up for a while, however I knew my mom would be awake.

Just as I had suspected, walking into the kitchen was like walking into the library. I grabbed a bottle of water before walking outside. I saw my mom on one of the deck chairs, tanning.

"Hey mom." I called, grabbing her attention as I dragged a second chair over to sit next to her.

"Hey baby, how'd you sleep?" She asked, looking over at me after lifting her sunglasses to the top of her head.

"Pretty well."

"How have you been my baby? I haven't been able to talk to you properly since you got here, you always have that Liza hanging off you." She half snarked.

"Why don't you give her a chance mom? I mean you haven't even spoken five words to her without being rude. You're normally so nice to my girlfriends, so why are you being so horrible to her?" I asked, trying to figure out why she's acting the way she is.

"It's just, Sky spoke to me when she came back from visiting and she just told me all these things about Liza. I mean, you can see why I don't like her. She smokes, she drinks, she has tattoos, she's reckless, and she's going to cheat on you." She listed so many things off. Skylar did this?

"She's not going to cheat on me. I trust that she won't. And everything you listed about her is everything that I do. I drink, I smoke, I have tattoos, I'm reckless. I mean, are you honestly gonna sit here and tell me that you hate me because of all of those factors." I argued, making her think.

"No, of course not, you're my baby boy and nothing will ever change that. But you know I have my reservations about music as it is. What if she falls and doesn't become successful, then you're going to be stuck with someone holding you back all the time?" She raised.

"Mom, Liza is more successful than I am. But she's also smart. If she ever falls away from singing, which I doubt she will ever do, but if she does, she will be able to get her life back on track. And even if she couldn't, she is so supportive of me, and her friends and her family, that I doubt she would be holding me back." I reasoned, trying to make her see sense.

"But Skylar told me she has this unhealthy attachment to Landon. What if, one day she leaves you for him? That's your girlfriend and your best friend gone in one move." She tried to fight.

"Whatever Skylar had told is a lie. Liza and Landon were raised side by side, they're practically brother and sister. The day that Liza leaves me for him is the day that the fat lady sings." I replied, making her laugh slightly. "So, can you please just give her a chance? If you don't like her after giving her a genuine chance, then by all means, don't like her. But please, just give her a shot?" I tried to push.

"Okay baby. I'll give her one chance, if it'll make you happy." She agreed.

"Thanks mom."

"Anytime."

The sliding doors sounded, drawing both of our attention away from each other to Liza who had just walked through. To my mom she probably looked happy and bubbly, but it's too early in the morning for her to be acting like that, so I knew something was up.

"Morning Liza." My mom smiled at her, making her looked shocked for a second as she sat down on my leg.

"Morning Cheryl." She smiled as she leaned back against my chest.

"What's up?" I asked in a quite tone so my mom wouldn't hear.

"Well I started my period and I can already tell there isn't enough in my bag for the rest of the week." She whispered back. Oh.

"We can go to the store after breakfast."
