Landon pov
"Hey Finn." She smiled as she walked over.
"Hey Lizzie." They smiled back and continued looking over at the guitars.
I stood up and walked over to Jaden. He was just stood in the corner of the room, looking over everything that was going on. He was still in the room so he's gonna know if she flipped out or not.
"What happened?" I asked.
I'm not mad that she asked me to take Finn out. I understand that she didn't want them seeing her that angry. However it is quite annoying when I don't know what happened.
"Uh Mads being Mads as per usual. She was just going on and on about how Finn can't use they/them because Liza called them her brother and that automatically makes them a he. Then Liza somewhat threatened her saying that if she continued talking about Finn the way she was that she was going to wish you had called security by the time Liza was finished with her. And then I kind of zoned out for a little before zoning back in just in time to see Liza slap Mads, not that hard but her dramatic ass made it seem ten times worse. And now I'm in for a murdering when I get home because I sided with Liza instead of my girlfriend." He shrugged.
"She hit her?" I know Liza has some issues with her temper but I didn't think she would actually hit Mads. It takes quite a lot to get Liza that riled up for the majority of the time.
"In all fairness, Mads had it coming. Liza was just defending her brother." He shrugged back.
"I know that little snake had it coming. I more shocked that Liza actually hit her. I mean she gets angry quickly, but it's not often that she gets violent with anyone." I explained.
"Really? I mean in the short time I've known her, she seems a little violent. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, that's just my observation." He quickly tried to dig himself out of the hole he though he put himself in.
"Relax man. She is a violent little shit to me and Colson. She won't dare touch dad, at all. But to her friends, she is violent, but that's kind of her love language. Little digs or hits here and there, not necessarily aimed to hurt, but there to make an impact is the way she expresses her love. But with her anger it genuinely takes a lot to make her want to lash out on someone she doesn't know." I laughed.
"How is hitting her love language?" He questioned.
"Well that's because of her ex boy-" I quickly cut myself off. "That's got stuff to do with her past. That's not my place to tell you about that." I corrected as he nodded understandably.
"No Finn. She was just a bitch. You can be whatever you want to be and no one will judge you. I love you for who you are. Landon loves you for who you are. Trav definitely loves you for who you are. And Colson is the type of guy who makes it into shits and giggles but everyone knows he loves you too. Just because one person is so close minded doesn't mean that what you are doing is wrong. Nothing about you is wrong, and if she can't accept you for who you are then you don't need her in your life. To be fair, you don't really want someone like her in your life anyway." We heard Liza laugh as she tried to make Finn a little happier.
"Can we just go home? I'm kinda tired." They responded, ignoring Liza's little speech.
"Of course we can. Let me go get my shit and then we can leav-"
"No it's fine. I'll go and get your stuff. You can stay here and say goodbye to your friends." They quickly cut her off before walking out of the room, not giving her time to protest.
"Well that wasn't weird." I mumbled sarcastically as she sighed and stood up.
"Yeah. They've never really encountered someone who they actively know don't accept them. I've always made it a point to keep those people away from them. But with Finn possibly going away to college, I can't always be there to stop everything that's gonna happen. I think it's just shaken them a little to know that people can be like that." She explained as the door closed.
"It's a shitty way to learn, but at least this way they are made aware that not everyone is going to like them for who they are." I tried, attempting to see a silver lining.
"Yeah, I guess. I still don't think it's right that they even have to suffer abuse like that anyway. Why can't they just be who they want to be without anyone telling they're wrong for doing?" She groaned as she dramatically walked over and 'fell' into me.
"They should be able to do that. And non understanding people, like my girlfriend, shouldn't stop them from doing that. I don't know what's gotten into Mads lately but what she said Finn was completely unacceptable and so I'm sorry." Jaden apologised. Liza pulled away from me, rolling her eyes and walked over to hug him.
"Stop. Fucking. Apologising. For. Her. Shit." Liza mumbled into his chest as she pinched up his arms on every word.
"Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Oh god I'm so hurt Liza." He teased.
"Asshole. Anyway. I've gotta go. I'll see you two whenever the fuck I see you next. Bye hoes." She called out as she disappeared down the hall.
"Why do you let her disrespect Mads like that? I mean I know she deserves it all the way, but how come you never try to defend her?" I asked him, being all too skeptical on why he just allows it to happen.
"You can't defend something with a lie. Everything Liza said about Mads is true. There would be no point in stopping her from saying the truth by lying and saying that she's a nice person when she very clearly wasn't." He shrugged as we made our way back to the recording room.
