Liza pov
"I am not putting my hand in that." I stated as I crossed my arms.
"Stop being a drama queen and just put your hand in." He laughed, trying to uncross my arms.
"No fuck off. You put your hand in it." I swatted his hands away from me, challenging him to do the same.
"I don't wanna put my hand in it. That's why I'm telling you to do it."
"Jaden, just take out the seeds of your nephews pumpkin for fucks sake." He pouted at me when I looked at him with an unamused look.
"But it feels horrible and I hate doing it." He whined, reluctantly putting his hand inside the pumpkin.
"And you think having someone with sensory issues doing it would be any easier?" I asked, trying to follow his thinking process.
"I didn't think about that." He admitted.
I had to laugh as he scraped out all of the pumpkin seeds. I hate everything to do with pumpkin. Even the smell of it right now is enough to make me gag, but I'm too busy laughing at my boyfriend to do that. He looks absolutely disgusted as he uses the tools given to him to carve out the flesh. By the time he was done I was laughing so hard I could barely breathe.
"Don't you even think about it," I warned, immediately halting my laughter as I saw the look on his face.
"I'm not going to." He assured, dumping the remnants into a waste bag. "You know, I will never understand why kids enjoy doing this stuff. It smells so bad and it's going to rot in a few days. Pretty pointless if you ask me." He rambled a she washed his hands.
"Well then, it's a good thing no one asked you little brother. Stop being such a downer." Nicole laughed, walking in and grabbing the freshly scraped pumpkin.
I had to stifle a laugh when he groaned because the smell wouldn't get off his hands. I watched as he scrubbed and scrubbed at his hands under the hot water.
"Stop it. You're gonna scrub your hands red raw in a minute. Your hands don't smell because you wore gloves." I explained, moving his hands away from the water, which was burning hot.
"I'll be fine. Anyway, we've gotta get ready to go." He dismissed, drying his hands off on the towel.
"Ready to go? Where are we going?" I asked, confused.
"Did I not tell you? A couple of my friends wanted to meet up and said they wanted to meet you. Winnie can't seem to shut up about you and now they wanna know who the impressionable Winnie is fawning over." He laughed.
"Oh, okay. Let me just go and get changed first and then I'll be ready to go." I kissed him quickly before making my way upstairs to get changed.

Jaden pov"Hey baby, are you and Liza gonna be back for dinner? I know you're going out with your friends but I wanna know if you're gonna eat out or not so I know how much food I need to make." My mom asked as she walked into the kitchen.
"No we're not. I think we're gonna get food in the pit or something, but I don't know what time we'll be back, so don't wait up for us if it starts getting late." I answered as she nodded.
"Okay, have fun." She shrugged before walking out the back.
I leant against the kitchen counter, reading through a few emails about my album when Liza's phone started going off like crazy. The same unknown number had called her three times before they started spamming her with messages. I didn't want to be that invasive boyfriend that just goes through her phone, but I also couldn't help the curiosity that bubbled inside.
I picked up her phone and unlocked it before going to her messages. I clicked on the new number and was immediately met with a message reading "hey, I had fun last week. We should do it again sometime."
Last week?
My mind immediately filled with dread because I know that last week we spent a lot of time apart. I don't want to think of Liza to be the cheating type, but when you pair her past of sleeping around a lot with obsessive thoughts, you don't always get the best gut feeling. She would never.
I had my eyes glued to the screen, staring blankly as a picture came through. My fingers moved before my mind did, and before I knew it, I was looking at a picture of my girlfriend, naked, on top of some random guy. I felt my heart break as yet another message came through. "I can't wait to have you like this again."
I couldn't tell if I was more angry at the fact that she cheated, or at the fact that I just spent the whole of this morning convincing my mom she would never. My eyes scanned over the picture because I didn't want to believe it was true. I kept looking and looking, longing for some piece of evidence that proved a lie.
I felt a sigh of relief and weight lifted off my shoulder as I had found one. I noticed how the girl in the picture didn't have the two moles under her right boob that Liza has. After looking over the photo some more, I also noticed how the figure, who had their head turned to the side, didn't have the same bird tattoo that Liza had.
This fucker must be really good at editing.
I swiped out of the conversation and blocked the number so she wouldn't get any more messages. I don't need this scaring her as well.
"Hey, you ready?" She asked, appearing around the corner.
"What? Oh uh, yeah. Here." I rushed, suddenly feeling really guilty for going through her phone. "Sorry." I apologised.
"You act like you've been caught trying to hack into government servers." She laughed as she took her phone and put it in her pocket. "I don't mind you looking through my phone. I have nothing to hide." She stated as we started to make our way out the house.
Another thing that put my mind at ease. She has nothing to hide.
