"How are you so good at skimming rocks?" I asked as I watched the rock he skimmed bounce on the water about five or six times before it went under.

"I don't know. It's just something I've done since I was a kid." He shrugged, sitting down next to me on the rocks. "You feeling better now?" He asked cautiously, making me smirk slightly.

This morning I had woken up with such bad cramps that I wanted to throw up. I refused to eat anything and wouldn't get up off the bed for a good forty minutes. I also kept going through phases where one minute I'd want him sat there on the bed so I can cuddle into him and the next I'd be squeezing him so hard from my pain that I actually caused him pain too. I just know some of them are going to bruise badly.

"Yeah, I'm fine now." I laughed as he sighed in relief and dramatically cheered. "Hey now, we're at a lake. I can very easily go home without you and no one would find your body." I threatened.

"I'm sure you could." He mused, laying back against the rock.

I felt his hand wrap around my waist as he pulled me closer. I was still sat up, but he had pulled me closer and turned himself so that my thigh was pressed to his stomach. He moved his hand round so it was resting on the waistband of my dreams.

"What time is our flight?" I asked.

I know he doesn't really want to leave. I knew it would have happened when he realised how much he missed his family. I'm sure if it wasn't for the fact that Travis and Kourtney want to get married as soon as possible, and had booked a venue for next week, he would stay longer.

"We've got about three hours until it leaves. So we should probably get ready to go soon." He breathed out, lifting my shirt off my back and drawing patterns over my spine.

"You should invite them out for Christmas or thanksgiving. I know you wanna stay in LA for both, but there's no reason why they shouldn't be there." I suggested, leaning back on my left arm and running my right hand through his hair.

"They won't come out. It's pointless." He sighed, sitting up again.

"Well just think about it. You never know, they might just come if they were given the offer." I shrugged as he nodded.

"I'm gonna go and say goodbye to all of them. I'll be back in a bit." He stated, pressing his lips to mine before getting up and walking off.

It's a bittersweet feeling to be back in LA. On the one hand I'm glad to be home, but on the other, all the problems I left are still here piling up. A part of me is dreading going back to my apartment, but I know I need to. Even though neither of us will admit it, we both need space from each other to wind down. Otherwise we'll be willingly putting our relationship on a collision course.

"You're coming back to mine, right?" He asked as he placed our cases in the back.

"No. You need a break from me and I need to deal with getting all my locks changed." I answered making him look up at me confused.

"Liza, I don't think it's right for you to go back by yourself. I mean, Finn comes back next week, you can stay at mine until they come home. And I don't need a break from you, you're my girlfriend." He tried to convince me.

"You can't always be there to protect me from what might be. I'm a big girl and I know how to look after myself. You don't wanna say it, but we both need a little time apart sometimes. It's fine, and that's normal, but if you don't admit it, then things will just go south. I don't think you're going to be able to change my mind. So drop me off at my apartment, and then you can go home and relax without having to worry about all of my problems."

"I will always be worrying about you. But if you want to go home, I'll take your there, just know I don't like the idea of it." He warned, starting the car and driving away from the airport.

"I know you don't. But you're not gonna like everything that needs to be done." I laughed.

"Are you sure you want this? You can just stay at mine, I really don't mind." He offered again as he pulled up outside my complex.

"Yes I'm sure. Look, I'll be fine I promise." I assured as he got out with me.

"I just really don't like the idea of you being here on your own. I would feel so much better if you came back with me." He admitted.

"I know you would, so would I, but I need to sort this out. I don't want to leave this because it will fester and grow and I don't want it to be left for when Finn comes back because that's not fair on them. If it really bothers you that much, you can come and stay with me tomorrow night, but you need to go home and have your space." I explained as he reluctantly gave me my bag.

"Okay fine." He sighed, acting like a kid who has just been told to clean his room.

"I'm sure you'll be fine for a couple days. I'll see you soon." I laughed as he latched his arms around my waist.

"Please?" He tried one more time.

"Your eyes may be beautiful, but I don't fall for the little puppy dog look. Nice try." I teased, placing a kiss to his lips.

"Liza." He whined, extending the a in my name when I tried to leave.

"Go home Jaden." I laughed as I placed kisses on his neck.

"Fine." He groaned, peeling himself away from me.

"Bye baby."

"Shut up." He mumbled, making me laugh.
