Liza pov
You'd have to be fucking blind if you couldn't see that Cheryl doesn't like me. Before we fell asleep, Jaden gave me a debrief of everyone in his family that were going to be here over the course of the week.
There was his mom Cheryl and his dad William who was very different to his wife. Where she would be unsupportive and judgmental, he was very open and kind. At least I might stand a chance with him. Then there's his brother, Lee, who is twenty five, unmarried with no children and owns his own business up in New York who likes to flex all the money he makes every chance he gets.
He also has a sister, Nicole, who is just a year older than him with a five year old child, who likes to call Jaden "dad". She made the mistake of thinking her and her high school boyfriend were going to be together forever, which turned out to be completely false when he left her as soon as she told him she was pregnant. Her son, Luke, calls Jaden his dad because he was one of the only men the boy saw the most growing up and grew the closest to.
Then there were Cheryl's sisters, Mandy and Nancy, who were twins. Mandy apparently has red hair with green eyes and Nancy has black hair with brown eyes, each daughter having a different eye colour. According to Jaden, the twins were just as judgmental as their younger sister. Mandy had two twins as well, both who just turned eighteen. There was Lilly and Ryan. Neither of them were like their mothers so that's good.
Then finally you had Jaden's grandma and grandpa. Apparently they weren't as judgemental as Cheryl, Mandy and Nancy were, but it was still best to avoid topics that are frowned upon in society.
Now I was just sat here with Jaden's head on my chest as I ran my fingers through his hair. I had woken up about five minutes ago, but he was still sleeping. I didn't mind being trapped under his weight as he slept, because it wasn't like I was going to be doing anything else. There was no sure way in hell that I was going to go downstairs and socialise with his family without him.
I heard footsteps coming up the stairs, but I was more distracted by the light snores that were coming from his lips as he digs his head further into my chest and tightened his grip around my waist. I chuckled slightly and scraped my nails across his scalp gently, knowing he likes it even in his sleep.
The door opened and two people walked in, a girl and a boy. I was assuming it was Ryan and Lilly considering that they looked fairly young and like each other as the opposite sex. The girl walked further in the room and sat down on the bed whereas the boy just shut the door and leant himself against it.
"Can I help you?" I asked as all the girl did was stare at me.
"I like her more than Mads." She said, breaking eye contact with me and looking over at her brother.
"Jesus Lils. I'm Ryan, this is Lilly. We're Jaden's cousins. Cheryl told us all about how he'd brought his new girlfriend with him and that you're carrying his child." He explained, looking over at me.
"Which I'm not. I can confirm that there is no baby. He's not having a child, and if he is, it's not with me." I replied, making him nod.
"I thought as much. When aunt Cheryl gets an idea in her head it's almost impossible to get her to think otherwise." He shrugged, sitting down on a desk chair.
"I'm Lilly. I'm older than him but younger than Jaden. And you're very pretty, he's really lucky to have someone like you." She pepped, sticking her hand out for me to shake, which I did, happily.
"Sorry about her. She has autism and so might come off as a bit full on at some times. She doesn't really know how to dial it back." Ryan apologised.
"There's no need to be sorry, there nothing wrong with that. You're really sweet, and I think you're really pretty as well." I smiled at her as I watched her cheeks flush with embarrassment as she though she had done something wrong.
"Thank you."
There was another lot of footsteps that were coming up the steps. Both of the twins groaned as they appeared to have recognised who it was already. Not to my surprise, the door swung open, nearly hitting Ryan to reveal Cheryl.
"I thought I told you two to get my son. What is taking so long?" She spat, not bothering to look over at us.
"Well, he's sleeping auntie. So we're talking to Liza instead. She's really pretty, and she's kind too. She even called me pretty." Lilly explained as she stood up and walked over to Cheryl.
"Take your sister downstairs." She instructed, almost pushing Lilly off of her.
Both of the twins left, leaving just me, Cheryl and Jaden in the room, who was still sleeping, despite all the theatrics his mother was pulling.
"Can you wake my son up and tell him that HE needs to come downstairs for a family dinner?" She asked, emphasising to me, very clearly, that she doesn't want me there.
"I will."
She didn't say anything else. She just left through the door, making sure to slam it shut when she did. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in as I lightly shook Jaden to try and wake him up.
"Jae, you gotta wake up." I said as I shook him a little more, earning a tired groan from him.
"No, why?" He rasped out, all tired still evident in his voice.
"Because your mom wants you to go downstairs for dinner." I replied as he groaned even louder before digging his head further into my chest.
"I don't wanna." He half whined, resting his chin on my sternum as he looked up at me.
"Come on. You have to do this for her. You did say you were coming back to spend time with them." I tried to reason as he rolled his eyes with me.
"She's being rude to you, I don't have to be nice to her. And before you go off on one saying how it's not right that I don't like her because she's being rude to you, I don't fucking care. You're my girlfriend and if she's going to be rude to you, then it's not gonna make me happy." He rambled, refusing to move.
"Jaden Hossler. Downstairs right now, or for the next month and a half the only form of pleasure you'll be getting is the deep connection you have with those seven magic keys on your laptop, and your right hand." I threatened as he looked up at me.
"I really don't like you." He mumbled as he started to move. "Come on then, let's go." He said as he stood up.
"She doesn't want me there." I mentioned.
