Liza pov
"Jesus Christ." He laughed as he held onto my legs after I had jumped onto his back. I was too lazy to walk so I was going to use him as my own personal donkey while we were in the store.
He grabbed a cart and started pushing it around. First he grabbed some snacks he wanted me to try and then he got some teddies and just a bunch of other random things that really made me question if I was dating a child or not before heading over to the women's section.
"You use both of these don't you?" He asked, pointing to both a green and a yellow box of tampons.
"Yeah, but I've got a lot of the green ones, just not enough of the yellow ones." I answered, making him pick up a yellow box and put it in the cart.
"No, what are you doing? Put those back." I whined as he started putting loads of chocolate packets in the cart.
"No. Because I know in about three hours you're gonna want to eat chocolate and I don't want you to top my head off when we don't have any." He replied, looking through all the packets.
"But it's gonna make me fat, and then I'm gonna have to go to the gym with a fat tummy." I stated as he moved his head so he can look at me in the eye due to me still being on his back.
"You're not gonna get a fat tummy and you don't need to go to the gym, you're perfect the way you are. Besides, calories don't count when you're on your period anyway." He shrugged before going back to choosing chocolates.
"Can you at least get some too? So I'm not eating my weight in calories alone." I asked, pouting even though he couldn't see me.
"Well I don't expect you to eat over twenty packets of chocolate by yourself. You doubt how much I know about you Lizzie." He replied as we started to make our ways to the tills.
"You're really cute sometimes." I stated, resting my head on his shoulder.
"Only sometimes?" He asked, loading stuff up onto the belt.
"Yeah, only sometimes." I laughed as I heard him scoff.
We walked through and waited for the guy to scan all the things. He kept getting annoyed with me because I was pulling out any stray hairs on the back of his head that I could see.
"Will you stop that? I want to actually have hair on my head when you get off." He laughed as he swatted my hand away.
"Who said I'm getting off?" I challenged.
"11.60 please." The cashier asked.
"Put that away." He demanded when I pulled my card out to put in the reader.
"But it's my shit, let me buy it. I don't want you wasting your money." I argued.
"Liza, it's a fucking box of tampons. It's hardly something I'm going to go broke over. Put your card away." He laughed, putting his card in the reader and punching in his pin before I could stop him.
"You're really mean sometimes. You know that?" I pouted as he started to walk off after paying.
"Why, because I wouldn't let my girlfriend buy her own tampons?" He continued to laugh as I nodded against him. "I'm sorry baby, I'll try and be less considerate next time."
"You better be." I mumbled.
******
"What is that?" I asked a different dodged a fork full of whatever sludge was on it. "No, fuck off. You're not making me eat oatmeal. I hate it, it's disgusting." He started laughing as I realised what it was and took to the other side of the table hide from him.
"You're so mellow dramatic. It's oatmeal." He chuckled when I made throw up noises.
I could feel the anger bubble in me the more I watched him eat it. Not only did it look like hospital food, but the bitch was eating it with a fork. A fork?
"Why are you eating it with a fork?" I asked, watching him with a disgusted look on my face and my arms crossed over my chest.
"You look really hot." He beamed at me, making me roll my eyes at him.
"Surely a spoon would be easier, no?" I asked, making him shake his head at me.
"I wouldn't even try it Liza. He's been doing it since he was four. It's because he's a fucking weirdo." Nicole explained as she walked in with her son running behind her.
"It's always nice to talk to you Nici." He stated sarcastically before reading the papers his brother had dumped on the table in front of him. "What's this supposed to be, Lee?" He asked, looking unamused.
"A job offer. You can't seriously expect your music career to take off can you?" He shrugged making Jaden scoff and throw the papers out the door.
"He can expect it to take off. He's done really well with his songs so far, making loads of money not just for himself, but also for the suicide prevention charity he partnered with when he released Pray. He's also working really hard towards his album that already has over a hundred million pre-saves. I'm sure once it's officially released that number will sky-rocket." I defended as I sipped my coffee.
"You know, little women shouldn't speak to a boss like that. It's how you end up at the bottom of the company." He threatened, looking over at me.
"Well then, I guess it's a good thing I don't work for you, isn't it?" I replied sarcastically. "And besides, patriarchal, misogynistic and sexist pigs belong in the troughs. But yet here we are having this conversation." I shrugged, enjoying the enraged look that flushed over his face.
"She's got you there Lee." Nicole laughed as she passed a piece of toast to her son.
"Yeah? Well at least I know how to keep my legs shut and not to whore around and get pregnant." He shot back, thinking he did something.
"And now you're a grumpy old prune who doesn't know the meaning of love. Such a shame how the world plans things out." I pointed out.
"Are you going to let her talk to me like this?" He asked, looking to Jaden for help. Good luck with that.
"Without a doubt." He relied, not looking up from the bowl as he ate another fork of oatmeal. Fucking weirdo.
