Liza pov
"Liza. Liza can we have a moment of your time?" I mentally groaned as a camera was shoved into my face.
It's been another whole week since Jaden came over to help me. I still try to avoid going out where necessary for this exact reason. The only reason I was out today was because I needed to get tampons. I also dragged Landon along with me because I still didn't feel comfortable walking around alone.
I don't know why I'm reacting like this. The past two times I was fine. A little bit shaken up - yes - but I was fine otherwise.
"Uh, not really." I offered a small smile as I tried to make my way back to the car where Landon was.
"Okay, okay. So we heard about your parents and Mads Lewis explain them. What's your response to the way she's talking about them? How do you feel about her talking out of turn?" He asked, completely ignoring my blatant no.
"Uh, no comment for now. But within the next few weeks I will be coming out with some sort of video just clearing a few things up about my parents, so don't worry." I fake laughed as I drew closer to the car, gaining Landon's attention as he got out the car and walked over.
"Awesome. So what are you-"
"Hey dude, come on, we don't wanna answer your questions." Landon interrupted, wrapping an arm around me.
"Are you gonna press charges on Jamie Bush, Liza?" He asked.
"Who?" We both asked at the same time.
"Jamie Bush. He was the guy recognised in that video that surfaced a couple weeks ago. He's tied to your raping as your suspected attacker." Just hearing about it all made my head feel fuzzy.
"That's so fucking insensitive of you to say. What the fuck man? What are you on? You don't just ask someone that, and especially not on camera where you're gonna use her reaction for views of clicked. That's fucked up." Landon spat as he pushed our way through the crowd of people to the car.
My head felt heavy as I sat down in the car. My ears were burning and I felt physically hot and cold at the same time. I couldn't tell if my breathing was faltering, but I felt an acidic feeling bubbling at the back of my throat.
"No Liza. Come on, stay with me here. I'm sorry, I should've come in with you. Fuck Lizzie. I'm so sorry." Landon tried to grab my attention as he slowly drove out of the parking lot, making sure not to hit any of the reporters crowding around the car.
"I-it's fine. Don't worry. J-just take me home." I stuttered, not really knowing how I felt about it.
"Hell no! I'm not taking you home. You live in public, and I already saw paparazzi cars outside your apartment block this morning. No, I'm taking you back to mine." He stated, leaving no room for an argument. But I'm going to give one.
"No Landon. I can't leave Finn, and my dog. And besides, Travis is at your house and I haven't seen him for two weeks, he's going to bombard me with questions and I'm still not ready for that." I tried, desperately wanting to just go home and sleep in Marley's room.
"Dad's staying at Kourtney's for a little bit to go over wedding planning. Colson is with them and Bama is staying at a friends house for the next week to work on a project. We will be the only two in the house." He shrugged, driving straight past the exit we would take if we were gonna go to my place.
I huffed and sat back on the seat. It always made me feel small when he spoke to me like that. It's as if I can't make a decision for myself. I don't need to feel small, I need to feel control. I need to feel control.
I rolled my eyes and got out of the car, not giving him a second to react. I slammed the door and started making my way up to the door.
"Are you seriously going to throw a temper tantrum because I'm trying to make it so you aren't bombarded with questions?" He scoffed as he followed me up and unlocked the door.
"Fuck off." I mumbled, making a b-line for the stairs, making an act of stomping each time my foot came down.
"You know one day you'll thank me Liza." He called out from the bottom, sounding all-knowingly.
"Yeah? Well let me know when that happens, cause today ain't fucking it." I shouted back before disappearing into a guest room.

Landon pov"You know they uploaded the video right?" His voice came through the phone.
"Yeah. I knew that one was coming a mile off." I groaned as I scanned over the hundreds of videos about Liza's freeze-up earlier.
"Imma watch it, see if I can do some damage control." He stated, switching his screen off of facetime so he could watch the video.
"Alright. Imma keep looking around." I mumbled back, before processing what he was doing. "Wait, no don't." I quickly started, but was stopped by the sounds of the video coming through.
By this time it was too late and he was already watching it. I tried to message him, knowing he would have had me muted so he could watch without me talking to myself interrupting him.
"So Liza, are you going to press charges on Jamie Bush?"
"Fuck sake." I groaned.
"Yo bro, what the fuck? You guys know who it was?" He asked, stunned as his face appeared back in my phone.
"Yes Jaden, neither of us really found out in the conventional way so excuse me for not having the time to tell you." I resisted to roll my eyes at him, knowing none of it was his fault and that he was just as worried.
"I'm gonna make my way over to you. I feel like this conversation would be easier to have in person rather than on call." Before I had a time to tell him it wasn't wise, he had hung up on me.
What a fucking shit show.
