They sat across from one another with one terrifying conclusion. The man that had taunted, stalked, and even hurt them was in the same vicinity. For all they knew, he had a gun and he was not afraid to use it. Colin looked anxiously toward the car to find the headlights beaming toward them in the window. As Jennifer kept her glance on the door, she noticed how a shadow lingered outside. Not coming it and almost swaying or dancing near the door. She moved her way from the booth and toward the bathrooms, which were near the doors to find it to be nobody she knew. Some young teenager on his cell phone-possibly waiting for a ride.

Leaving the restroom, she found Colin looking pale as if he had seen a ghost. She also noticed how no workers of the establishment were present. Seeing his tense shoulders and firm jaw line as well as his clenched jaw, she knew something was wrong. Slowly, she made her way across the restaurant and across from Colin who took her hands into his.

"What happened?" She whispered from across the table.

"They left. And his headlights are still on. I can't tell if he's looking at us from his car or the cameras maybe."

Jennifer looked toward Colin and saw a fear in his eyes she had never seen before. A fear that also tore her up inside. It had been bothering her for a week straight, she has been unable to sleep unless otherwise occupied, and the memory on her phone was caked with messages from the stalker. This made her both shake and cringe internally. Raising from her seat, Colin saw a shinning from the window and pulled her down. A single bullet shot was sent through the window and into the counter across from them.

"Holy shi-" Colin went to say until another shot rang in the establishment, this time going closer to the door.

"What do we do?" She whispered, desperate for a solution, she herself was unable to conjure up.

"The counter...." He said as he began crawling on his elbows. She followed him but watched as a figure moved closer to the door.

First, Colin made his way behind the counter then pulled Jennifer next to him, on the farther side to give her more protection. Looking around for anything useful, Colin found a knife.

"If I can get him looking the other way, I might have a shot."

"You could get shot!" She argued quietly, taking the knife from his grasp and putting it beside her.

"What about the kitchen? There might be something in there..." He said motioning his head toward the door on the left of them labeled "KITCHEN" in big white bold letters.

"What if he has them held hostage back there? Or if they're in on it? What if-"

"Please love, calm down..." He said kissing her head softly.

She attempted to take a deep breath but just found anxiety and a lump in her throat. Slowly, she moved toward the door and he pulled her back.

"You're right, we can't just sit here...we will get shot..."

Just as she went to move, another bullet hit against the kitchen door and ricocheted from the door on the other side of the counter, just missing Colin. He grasped onto her hand tight.

"If something happens I want you to know something..." He began.

Jennifer turned toward him. "No. Don't say-"

"I need to. I just have to. Please, you are the most beautiful woman I have ever met. Everything about you is so angelic and so alluring. I believed everything in my life to be an end until you. You gave me something to look forward to-whether it be your smile or touch." He placed his hand hand on her cheek as a few tears rolled down his cheeks. "I have fallen so completely in love with you, I can not be away from you...and I want those to be my final words-if they shall be..." Then with that, the bell above the door to enter the restaurant went off.

They could hear the clicking of the gun as the steps drew more and more close.

"I love you." She said, not removing her lips from his.

        The steps moved closer.

        And closer.

        And closer.

Until they made themselves present. Above the counter stood a man behind a gun. Pointed at them. They breathed a sigh of relief. It was an officer.

        "Are you both okay?"

"Yes." Jennifer said, releasing the breath she held so long.

Colin helped Jennifer up as he explained the ordeal to them. But as Jennifer looked out the window, she saw a package on the table they had been sitting and the car was gone. Only Colin's and the police car remained. Picking up the package, the officer asked her to return toward him. The package was the size of a hardcover book, one found often in libraries in the adult fiction section. It was placed in a box and somewhat light considering the size, but bulky. She sild it into her purse and turned to stand next to Colin. Her phone buzzed in her pocket.

Here is for the video. Tried to help cut loose ends...looks like I'm a bad shot. Sorry if I scared you Goldie...anyway, can't wait to see you. Only you. All you.
