Chapter Forty Seven- In the Dark

        As she dropped off the video camera in the mailbox, she saw a familiar shadow follow her. Anxious to follow him, she found him to end up in front of her apartment. Running his fingers through his long hair, his eyes had been puffy from the obvious tears cried before he came to her, and lips full with words unspoken, Colin stood before her vulnerable. Rain crashed against the sidewalk as he stood before her. There was something about his appearance that made her crumble before him. She took him in her embrace as if they were lovers who had not seen one another in decades. They both had tears escape their eyes as their grasps did not cease.

        "I am so sorry. I was foolish. You need someone who will protect you. I will not let you down again..."

        "You did not let me down before...You were there more than you were absent. You placed your body before mine. You pulled me down before you to save my life..."

        "I will never leave you again...I promise..." He said as he pulled her into the apartment, causing her to crash against the wall. Keeping his forehead pressed against hers, he placed his hands upon her waist and closed his eyes.

        "What were you doing out in the rain?" He asked as the storm grew increasingly worse outside the window. "You are crazy..."

        "I was sending out a package. The last one..."

        "Please come back home...Come back so I can make you a proper dinner, candles...music and intriguing conversation of various topics."

        "That does sound sweet, but I-" Before she could finish her plans, she froze as her phone buzzed in her back pocket. He reached in her pocket and lingered for a moment before removing it.

        So quite a tape...I do not favor it...How dare you initiate war...You believe it was hard before...Do not push me, I have been patient and nothing but. Now, you have begun a new war...be prepared for the consequences...

        Reading aloud, Colin placed the phone back in her pocket and pulled her chin so her eyes met his.

        "What did you do?" He asked with desperate words pulling as his eyes demanded an answer.

        Explaining it, they walked up to her apartment. By the time they reached her apartment, he was informed completely.

        "I am not going to lie, I am impressed you went through with it, but terrified on how he will react...he already tried to kill us..." He said shivering at the thought.

        "That is in the past. He does not want to make me angry at him. He wants me to be with him as I am with you...Or was with you..." She corrected herself considering the previous conversation they had.

        "You have me Jennifer. All of me."

        She could not hide a smile that crept upon her face.

        "It is taking everything I have to resist kissing you."

        "Then don't resist..." She said as she leaned against the counter.

        He slowly walked toward her and grabbed her face between his hands and kissed her. Leaving her to desire him as he desired her. Slowly, they walked toward the bedroom but he stopped. In the corner was a small camera. Poorly hidden. But one from Henry's collection.

        "He wanted us to find this..." Colin said as he turned it on and pressed play.

        On the screen was nothing but black. Until sound was heard in the distance. It became clear very quick a beautiful young girl was tied up and bruised. In a deserted location, she sat with fear and tears. Looking at the camera, she was forcefully kissed by Henry then the camera was placed on the floor. He began removing his clothes when the camera cut off. When it came back on, his face was before it. Eyes wide, sweaty, and then glaring at the camera he froze.

        "I know you want this...you want me...He can not please you like I can..." He said. "Ask her..."

        The camera then went to the girl who was now untied. Her expression was no longer fearful. "Again." She said before the camera ended.

        "What the hell..." Colin said looking at the camera, then noticing a pair of ties on the bed. The same ones used on the woman.

        "Oh my God..." She said, holding them up. "I think he wants me to star in a snuff film..." She said, now more fearful then ever.

        He pulled her close to him and led her to his car where they drove to his house.

        "What about your wife?"

        "She isn't home until we begin filming again. You can stay the night...We have the highest security..."

        "Thank you..." She said as she entered the house and was shown her room.
