Chapter Sixty Six- Revenge of the Sweetest Kind

Holding her breath, Jennifer watched as Colin fell to the ground along with Thomas. But as she watched closer, she noticed how Colin's chest had still been moving and Thomas's had slowed majorly. In the distance, she saw a man with a gun. He walked closer-slowly and went toward Thomas. Placing handcuffs over his wrists, he removed him from the scene. Colin quickly moved and untied Jennifer from the ties. He held her in his arms and close to his heart.

"How did you know?"

"The police unlocked his phone. This was the one place left they had not checked. I'm so glad we got here before he did anything to you. You have been through enough pain..."

"I'm so glad you're alright too!"

"How's your foot?"

"Painful...But I'm glad that's all the pain...Aside from my cheek."

"That bastard is lucky I'm not alone with him. If they wouldn't have shown up, I would have killed him Jennifer. He has hurt both of us extremely much and I could never trust myself if he had-"

"He didn't...can we please just get out of here...I hate it here..."

He placed his jacket around her body and zipped it up to warm her up. He carried her out to his car and set her in the passenger seat. But then he lingered outside of the car.

"What are you doing?" She asked him as she rolled down the window slightly. He angled toward her. "I have one final thing to say." He said as he moved toward the police car. As he went to the window, he looked in the back of the car and saw Thomas in agony.

"I want you to look at me like a man to another. You are done. You will never see daylight again. And if you do, you better pray to God he'll protect you. If you ever try to hurt the woman I love again, you will pay for it from me. Do you understand me?"

He nodded like the coward he was.

"And one last thing." He said, turning slightly. "Look at that woman in that car. This will be the last time you EVER see her. You will never obtain that. You are a monster and a criminal and nothing as far as I can tell. You are vermin on the street, gum on the bottom of my shoe, and I will never think of you after this-either will she. Enjoy hell." He said before he turned, leaving Thomas to ponder in his own thoughts. He turned with a smile and went into the car beside Jennifer.

"Can we go home now?" She asked with a smile.

"Yeah babes, we can go..." He said with a smile on his face.
