"How did you know?" He asked, in complete shock.
"You didn't know I knew?"
"No, I thought you were angry she was on set..."
"That was upsetting but I understood that. I overheard her talking and she showed the sonogram I lost it. Everything I had built with you was destroyed in that moment..."
"It just doesn't make sense..."
"What?" Jennifer asked,now sitting up completely.
"I never drink...and I had not physically been with her in at least nine months...She explained how I got drunk one night and we..." He paused and gave a look to insinuate the act. "And that's when it happened...but I don't remember..."
"Could she be lying?"
"Anything's possible..."
"What would she have to gain though? She already has you...and your money-your things...She doesn't know about us...Does she?"
"Not that I know of. She didn't mention anything..."
"When did you find out you were going to be a dad?"
"The first night we were together. You had just completely let your walls down and we had just slept together. I didn't want you to think I was choosing her. Plus, I wanted all the details before I told you..but when you got upset I figured I didn't have to since it didn't concern you any longer..."
"And what became of Henry?"
"Not sure...when police arrived he was gone. His blood was at the scene, but he wasn't. Either was his 'box of ties'..." He said cringing at the thought. "Why did you go with him? I have to know..."
"I was having a mental breakdown...I thought I was undesirable and everything we had worked for was broken...I just wanted that back and he gave me the attention you once did...but I never wanted that from him...or anything for that matter..."
"I'm sorry..." He said truthfully, placing his hand on hers.
She looked up to him and placed her hand on his cheek. "You are truly a godsend, you saved my life. There is no telling what he would have done with me. I'm sorry I didn't trust you or listen to you or tell you the truth. I'm so sorry..." She said with her head hanging low.
He pulled up her chin and kissed her sweetly. "I do love you Jennifer. Truly, with all I am..."
"Then please, never leave me again."
"I promise..."
