Chapter Twelve- Action

            Making her way to work, Jennifer took a deep breath as she desired to see Colin once more. It had been nearly four days and she was stuck with his latest comment.

        "I think you and I both know we can't be just friends..." It echoed in her mind from the minute he said it.

        Anxiously she waited until she noticed his familiar physique out of the corner of her eye.

        "You are filming your first intimate scene with Colin." The producer came up and told Jennifer as she kept her eyes on the sensual Irish actor. As his gaze went to hers, everything else around them froze. Until she was snapped back into reality.

        "What do you mean 'intimate'?"

        "The first scene that shows the viewers there will be a relationship between them..."

        "Oh."

        "So pretend that it's a possibility." He joked.

        As they began filming their scene, they took the roles of their characters. Saying their lines, sharing the moment, but not touching...they finished it almost as soon as they began. When the director said cut, they made their way back to the main stage. Jennifer stood in the middle of the stage with the lights dim around her. From the darkness, emerged Colin. Walking slowly almost in a cinematic scene, he made his way toward her.

        "How are you and Sebastian?"

        "Why should I tell you?" She asked playfully, moving to the opposite side of the stage.

        "Because we're friends...friends talk about their relationships."

        "Or maybe you're jealous..."

        "Maybe I am..."

        Turning in surprise, she focused her attention completely to Colin who was slowly moving closer to her.

        "You have no right to be..."

        "I don't. This is true...but that does not mean I'm not..."

        He said brushing his thumb on her bottom lip.

        "Stop." she said as she gripped his wrist.

        "I don't think I can...even if I could...I wouldn't..."

        Slowly, he moved in toward her lips. They both closed their eyes as he placed his hands on her waist.
