Chapter Two- Between the Lines

        Sitting down on the long tables, Jennifer and Colin sat across from each other in the large room. Surrounded by their cast members, they all looked at one another after just giving hugs and returning for another season.

        "As you know, the ratings of the show have been incredible...but we want to bring in another beloved character..." The producer said as he pointed toward Colin. "Colin?" He asked as he moved his hand in such a motion that asked him to stand.

        Standing as requested, Colin took a bow before his eyes met with Jennifer's. Unable to hide a grin or two, she averted her eyes and looked down at the script.

        "He will be playing Hook. Killian Jones to be specific. A pirate with a past...and a possible love interest to one of the characters."

        The cast speculated as Colin took his seat but his eyes did not move from Jennifer. He watched as her long blonde hair fell lazily over her shoulders and he loved it. Her smile drove him crazy as well as her presence alone. She found that his eyes did not leave her and found it as a compliment. Giving her a gentle smirk, she returned it, but then his ring glimmered in the light, making a great amount of guilt to fester in her stomach. Ignoring her curiosity and her heart, she kept her eyes from him during the reading.

        As the rest of the cast made their exit, Jennifer remained behind and read over her script once more. Colin was just about to leave as he noticed her.

        "Everything alright?"

        "Yeah, just making sure I grasp the character..." She said standing up and pushing her chair in with her knee then foot as it stalled against the carpet.

        "I look forward on working with you..." He said as he gave her another one of his irresistible smiles.

        "Yeah, me too." She said quick, politely moving past him and making her way from him. Biting her bottom lip, she threw her head against the wall and let out a sigh before Sebastian came up to her.

        "Hey babe." he said pulling her from the wall. "So, I have a meeting with my agent that will probably run late tonight so don't wait up..." Before she could respond, he kissed her on the lips briefly and dismissed himself. She had spent so many nights alone in her apartment and was growing tired of the quiet and the darkness. She saw Lana and Ginnifer.

        "Would you guys want to go out tonight?" She asked abruptly.

        Surprised by her invitation, they looked to each other and nodded. "Thanks." They both said at the same time.

        "Vera? At eight?"

        They both nodded.

        "You can give us the scoop on that sexy new Irish pirate..." Lana said as she gave Jennifer a wink.
