Chapter 15: Sorcerer Sacrifice 2 Part 1: third contact

Kiarah, Lily and Rune are violently tackled to the ground.

The door slammed and protected by a barrier behind them.

They get up and meet in the great hall of Hogwarts.

The room is brightly lit by the illusory ceiling which projects the image of ardent fire.

Jack O 'Lantern is seated in the usual place of the professors, Philippe and Laurent to his left and to his right.

They are surprised to see the new appearance of the specter. There is no trace of Mateo's body that he owned.

They have before them a man, gigantic, black eyes, a red skeletal head that seems to be heated, a blue coat, which covers a naked body and a lighted lantern in his left hand.

Lily puts her hands in front of her mouth and sighs while shedding tears.

Rune's hands are shaking.

Kiarah calms her breathing, she closes her eyes, joins the two hands and places them on her heart, she takes a moment then she opens her eyes which turn red.

She shows no signs of surprise or fear by the appearance or surroundings of the spectrum.

"There you are, my sacrifice ... And with guests ... You were able to escape my creatures."

"What did you do with Mateo?" Lily yells.

"My receptacle? He is in me." Jack said calmly. "I can see by your bewildered air that you don't understand what's going on. No worries, I'm in a good mood because I'll be free soon.

You see, in your world or reality, we need a receptacle to exist, so we possess people. But in this world, our own world, we can be in our true form and our receptacle is within us. They cannot contain our true power and we cannot throw them away because we go back and forth between worlds."

"Are we not on Earth?" Kiarah asks calmly.

"My sacrifice is curious." He said as if he was addressing a harmless child.

"We are on Earth, a more chaotic version, with its own law and temporality, separated from yours by a thick veil, hostile to all foreign bodies."

As has he said these words, blood is flowing from the girls' noses and ears.

"You are quite used to the environment. We can start the sacrifice!"

"What the fuck is this sacrifice? I'm sick of hearing that damn word!" Kiarah said irritably.

An ominous black aura emanates from Jack.

Lily and Rune feel their blood run cold.

"Sacrifice is a ritual where we confront each other according to pre-established rules and the winner obtains everything: power and freedom. In other words, I will be released from prison."

Jack stands up.

"It will be you against me! If your friends intervene, my 2 versions too."

A blue circle appears around the girls and the 2 boys at the teachers' table.

Jack tempts Kiarah by telling her to approach with a wave of his hand.

Kiarah leaves the circle but Lily holds her back.

"Don't go there yet!"

"Let go of me Baker! I have to go! Stay in this circle, it looks like you are seen as spectators if you stay inside."

"Let's wait for Blackwood."

Kiarah stares at Lily.

"We cannot. If we stay longer, we risk dying from this hostile environment. And Daeren... he won't come."
