We walked into Deans hospital room to see he was extremely pale and he had dark circles under his eyes. I could feel more tears were building up in my eyes at the sight, while he just kept his eyes on the tv.
"Have you ever actually watched daytime TV? It's terrible." He asked us and I couldn't help but hear how weak he sounded, but all I could do was shake my head as Sam did the same and let out a sigh.
"We talked to your Doctor." Sam told
"That fabric softener teddy bear. Oh, I'm gonna hunt that little bitch down." He joked but I couldn't laugh.
'I don't want to lose him.
"Dean." Sam spoke making him look towards us.
His features softened some more when he looked towards me. He let out a small sigh and turned the tv off so we knew he was focusing on us.
"Yeah. All right, well, looks like you're gonna leave town without me."
"What are you talking about? I'm not gonna leave you here. Kat sure as hell won't."
'Does he not want us here?'
"Hey, you better take care of that car. Or, I swear, I'll haunt your ass. And you better protect Kat cause I promised her mum we would, I will come back to haunt you if you don't." He told but no one laughed at his joke.
"I don't think that's funny." Sam stated making Dean smirk a little.
"Oh, come on, it's a little funny." He told making silence over take us all.
We both had to look away from Dean as fighting back tears was becoming harder and harder for us to do.
"Look, Sammy, Kat, what can I say, man, it's a dangerous gig. I drew the short straw. That's it, end of story."
I shook my head as the tears finally fell making Dean open his arms for me. I quickly rushed over and joined his side on the bed, so he hugged me as I cried.
"It's ok Kat. Maybe it's my time to go."
"Don't talk like that, alright? We still have options." Sam argued.
"What options? Yeah, burial or cremation. And I know it's not easy. But I'm gonna die. And you can't stop it."
"Watch me." He told before leaving.

We were in silence again till Dean grabbed the remote and turned the tv back on.
"Do you think, we can find Scooby-Doo on one of these channels?" He asked making me look to see he was flicking through the channels.
"Maybe." I quietly told.
"I like those odds Kat."
After a few minutes of going through the channels I got the remote off of him and went back three channels to see Scooby-Doo was starting and that it was a marathon.
"Hey you found it."
"I did."
"It's gonna be fine Kat."
"But I'm losing you. I don't want to lose you."
"I'm still here for a little bit. We can spend as much time as we want watching Scooby-Doo. Okay?"
"Okie."
"That's my girl. Now I've got some puddings here, and I think it's going to take the two of us to eat them all." He told grabbing one of them as well as two spoons. "Think your up for the challenge?"
"If it's with you.... Always."
"That's the spirit Kat."
'I can at least spend time with him while I still can.'
