(Katie p.o.v)

"Katie Miller!"
"Yes?"
"Can you answer question 7 on the board please?" Mr. Hinckley asked
"Everything has an ending. Some stories have happy endings or you have stories like the brothers Grimm where they are happy but very gruesome. I.e. Cinderella's step sisters cut off a heel or toe to fit in the shoe, but obviously they were found out cause of all the blood, and then they had their eyes pecked out with the stepmother." I told
"Very good."
I went back to looking at my paper and continued sketching the symbols I saw painted on the wall.
'I can not wait to go to the room I'm staying at to drink and pass out.'
Soon the teacher said we were free to go and I collected all my things and rushed out of there.
'So glad I only have one class today.'
I made my way back to the dorm I'm staying in and let out a sigh. I began putting things where they should be and got changed in an old AC/DC shirt and leggings when the door was knocked on.
'Odd. Usually I know when someone is about to knock.'
I made my way over to it and opened it up to see two guys dressed in suits.
'Fuck.'
"I'm agent Tyler and this is my partner agent Perry." They told and showed their badges.
"Like Aerosmith?"
"Yeah something like that." Agent Perry told
"Right. So why the hell was my roommate killed?"
"We are trying to work that out." Agent Tyler told
"Right."
"May we come in?" He asked since agent Perry seem surprised by me.
'These dudes look hella young to be agents but what do I know.'
"Yeah sure." I told as I stepped to the side to let them in.
They had a look around and I closed the door before I turned back to them.
"Would you guys like a drink or something?" I asked
"It's fine." Agent Tyler told stopping agent Perry from speaking.
"So what would you like to know?" I asked as I sat across from them.
"So Katie..." Agent Perry began only for me to cut him off
"Oh I hate that name."
"Then what do we call you?" He asked
"Kat."
"Kat, do you know if your roommate had any enemies?" Agent Tyler asked
"Not that she told me. I wasn't around much in the room and what not but we got along for the most part."
"How come?" He asked
"Oh I have this thing with the school that I need to stay up to date with my work and if I fall too behind then I get kicked out. So if I wasn't at the dorm I was getting worked checked or at the library to work."
"Why not in your room?" Agent Perry asked
"She wasn't a big fan of my music. She didn't like hearing the classic rock she could hear through my headphones."
"You like classic rock?" He asked
"Yeah, my dad got me into it when I was a wee child. Said to my mother she's never too young to appreciate true music. Weird dude." I told
"Was there any weird smells or anything strange about the whole situation?" Agent Tyler asked
"There was a weird symbol." I told as I gave them the quick sketch I did of it when I first saw it.
"Can we take this?" He asked
"Yeah I don't need it."
"Did your roommate do anything weird before her death?" Agent Perry asked
"She talked about going into the maze on campus, if I recall correctly."
"There's a maze on campus?" They both asked as one.
"Yeah. Wanna see it?"
They gave each other a look before looking back at me and leaned forward a little bit.
'They almost seem like brothers.'
"Yes." The both said as one again.

We were walking in silence for the most part till agent Perry spoke up.
"So Kat how old are you anyway?"
"I recently turned 25." I told
"You do not look 25." He told
"You saying I look older then I am agent?"
"Not at all. Saying you look younger."
"Everyone can be surprised by things. What are you 40?" I joked making agent Tyler laugh.
"26." Agent Perry told as he tried to stop himself from grinning.
"Guess we were both wrong then." I told before we came to the entrance of the maze. "This is it."
"It's right next to the cafe?" Agent Tyler questioned.
"They thought the garden area would be nice to look at."
"So what's so specials about a maze?" Agent Perry questioned.
"They say who ever steps foot in it will either never be seen again or die following entry." I told
"And your roommate entered here and died?" Agent Tyler questioned
"She entered a few days before she had died so I don't know if it's a connection or just a coincidence."
"Thank you for showing us this. Here's our card in case you see anything or find anything out." He told as he handed a card.
"Will do agent Tyler. I shall be getting back to my school work agents. Hope you have a pleasant day." I told before heading back the way I came.
While I was walking away I heard agent Tyler say something but acted like I didn't.
"What type of monster uses mazes to help target someone?"
I took a quick glance as he spoke to see he wasn't moving his lips at all.
'Odd.'
