"What the hell happened in there?" I asked as we sat in the car.
"What do you mean?" Dean asked.
"I mean. One minute Meg is in my lap, next minute she is on the floor in front of a now cracked wall. What happened?"
"You honestly don't know?" Sam asked making me slowly shake my head.
"No. As soon as her hands went onto my head, I mostly saw red..... I'm not fully sure what it was that I saw." I confessed making the two share a look.
"You screamed and sent her flying." Dean told.
"What?"
"It was strange. Your eyes glazed over like it's done in the past and you let out this horror movie type of scream, before she was thrown into the wall across from you." Sam explained.
"You two weren't hurt right?" I asked worried about them.
"We are fine. Other then for a second or two it feeling like when your near amps and you can feel the sound waves through your body." Dean added.
"We really need to work our what's going on with me." I told making them nod.
"Let's get back to our room and see if we can figure something." Dean told before starting Baby and headed off.We walked back to our room and Sam brought the bag of stuff with us back to our room.
"Why didn't you just leave that stuff in the car?" Dean asked.
"I said it before, and I'll say it again—better safe than sorry."
"He's got a point." I told before he unlocked the door and we entered our room.
When we walked in, we saw a man standing by the window and Dean pointed his gun towards him and made sure I was right behind him.
"Hey!" He exclaimed and Sam turned on the light, the man turned around and while I didn't know him I could tell Sam and Dean were stunned. "Dad?"
'That's their dad?'
"Hey, boys." He told before him and Dean walked towards one another and shared a long, emotional hug while me and Sam watched on, except Sam held a sad look before the two pulled apart and John looked towards me and Sam. "Hi, Sam."
"Hey, Dad." He softly told before putting the bag down on the floor.
"Oh uh Dad. This is our friend Katie Miller, prefers Kat." Dean told lightly dragging me forward and I gave a small wave.
"Hiya. It's good to finally meet you sir." I told with a smile.
"You aren't what I expected."
"What?" The three of us asked.
"You still don't know do you?" He questioned.
"I feel the three of us are very out of the loop." I admitted.
"Dad what are you on about?" Sam asked.
"It's nothing. Just something Missouri called and sensed. That you were unique." He told.
"Dad, it was a trap. I didn't know, I'm sorry." Dean told to give us time to ask later.
"It's all right. I thought it might've been." He admitted.
'I feel like I should not be here.'
"Were you there?"
"Yeah, I got there just in time to see the girl take the swan dive. She was the bad guy, right?" He asked.
"Yes, sir." The three of us told as one.
"Good. Well, it doesn't surprise me. It's tried to stop me before." John told.
"The demon has?" Sam asked.
"It knows I'm close. It knows I'm gonna kill it. Not just exorcise it or send it back to hell—actually kill it."
"How?" Dean asked making their father smile.
"I'm workin' on that." Their father told.
"Let us come with you. We'll help." Sam told making Dean give him a warning look.
"No, Sam. Not yet. Just try to understand. This demon is a scary son of a bitch. I don't want you caught in a crossfire. I don't want you hurt." Their father told.
"Dad, you don't have to worry about us." Sam argued.
"Of course I do. I'm your father. Listen, Sammy, last time we were together, we had one hell of a fight."
"Yes, sir."
"It's good to see you again. It's been a long time."
"Too long." Sam added before the two embraced one another crying.
As the three Winchesters had their family moment, I suddenly felt we were surrounded again. Before I could warn them, John was thrown into a set of cabinets and fell to the ground, Sam was pulled to the ground before the same happened to me.
"No!" Dean exclaimed before he was thrown to the floor next to me.We were being attacked by the shadow demons and we were all screaming in pain as we were flung around the place. One of them put a hand to my chest making me scream before they were evaporated by who know what. Sam mom Ed to the bag of weapons and pulled out a flare from the bag.
"Shut your eyes! These things are shadow demons, so let's light 'em up!" Sam yelled making Dean pull me into his chest to help shield my eyes with him as Sam lit it.
The room instantly filled with smoke and a bright white light, making the shadow demon vanish. The four of us felt our way around the room to head to the door as we coughed from the smoke.
"Dad!" Dean called.
"Over here!"
Dean made his way to John and helped him up, as Sam followed us out of the room and made sure he had the bag of weapons with him.We exited the building and walked down the alley that the car was in, and Sam put the bag into the backseat of Baby.
"All right, come on. We don't have much time. As soon as the flare's out, they'll be back." Sam told making Dean speak up.
"Wait, wait. Sam, wait. Dad, you can't come with us." He told.
"What?" Me and Sam questioned before Sam continued to ask.
"What are you talkin' about?"
"You boys and girl—you're beat to hell." John told.
"We'll be all right." He told.
"Dean, we should stick together. We'll go after those demons—" Sam told before Dean cut him off.
"Sam! Listen to me! We almost got Dad killed in there. Don't you understand? They're not gonna stop, they're gonna try again. They're gonna use us to get to him. I mean, Meg was right. Dad's vulnerable when he's with us. He's—he's stronger without us around." He explained.
"Dad, no." Sam told before putting his hand onto his father's shoulder. "After everything, after all the time we spent lookin' for you—please. I gotta be a part of this fight."
"Sammy, this fight is just starting. And we are all gonna have a part to play. For now, you've got to trust me, son. Okay, you've gotta let me go. But you two need to know what's going on with Kat before I do." He informed.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"You two are carrying a beacon or sorts with you." He told to his sons.
"What do you mean we are carrying a beacon?" Dean asked as the three of us were confused by what he meant.
"She's a psychic Dean."
"I'm psychic?"
"Yes. And you three haven't known about it, because none of you three have worked it out."
"I.... I can't be psychic. I haven't done anything psychicy."
"We would have worked it out earlier if she was." Dean argued.
"You haven't heard anything said by someone who didn't actually say it? You haven't seen ghosts and hear them when others couldn't? See things that these two haven't?"
"No." Dean told.
"Yes." Me and Sam corrected.
"It's because you are psychic. Missouri sensed it when you met her, and even she was surprised you didn't know."
"Ok. I believe you." I told as I felt the shadow demon was slowly reforming. "You should probably go now. It's not safe."
He gave a nod as silence fell around us and we were all close to tears. Finally, Sam pat his fathers shoulder once before letting go. John and Dean shared a look before John walked to his truck. Once he was there, he looked back at us one more time.
"Be careful, boys, Kat." He told before getting into his truck and driving away.
"Come on." Dean told making us get into Baby.
We watched Johns truck turn the corner, and we all gave each other a knowingly look. Without a word, Dean started the car. He backed into the street before speeding down the road and around the corner. With that, I could tell we were all thinking the same thing.'I'm psychic.'
