We were sitting at the table in our motel room with the two discussing about the painting moving on its own.
"I'm telling you man, I'm sure of it. The painting at the auction house, Dad is looking down. Painting here, Dad's looking out. The painting has changed Dean." Sam told to Dean.
"Let me see." I told before raising my hand up to touch his head before stopping. "It's ok right?"
"Yeah, sure." He told making me nod before I touched his head.
I was back at the auction house as night, and I saw me and Dean looking at the painting in front of Sam. I focused on the painting to see he was actually looking towards the girl, but the painting in the piece looked different as well. Before I got a better look at it, I was pulled back to reality and I took a deep breath like I had stopped breathing.
"Well?" Dean asked making me nod.
"Sam's right. It's different." I told as I was catching my breath.
'Still not used to it.'
"All right so you think that Daddy dearest is trapped in the painting and is handing out Columbian neckties like with his family?" Dean questioned.
"Well yeah, it seems like it. But if his bones are already dusted how are we gonna stop him?" Sam questioned.
"Maybe his shaving knife is still around and we can burn that?" I suggested.
"All right, well. If Isaiah's position changed then maybe other things in the painting did too. It could give us some clues." Dean suggested.
"What, like a Da Vinci Code deal?" Sam questioned making Dean give him a blank look.
"I don't...know. Uhh...I'm still waiting for the movie on that one. Anyway, we gotta get back in and see that painting." Dean told making me remember what I saw in the vision.
"The painting in the paint." I told confusing them.
"What?"
"When I was in the memory, the painting in the corner felt different. So to speak. But we can't go in and just check it."
Dean raised from his spot and moved across the room to the bed me and him were sharing, before throwing himself onto his back and crossing his arms over his chest.
"Which is a good thing cause you can get some more time to crush on your girlfriend." Dean told as I moved to sit on the bed as well.
"Dude. Enough already." Sam told showing he was a bit annoyed.
"What?"
"What? Ever since we got here you been trying to pimp me out to Sarah. Just back off, all right?"
'I don't like when they argue.'
"Well you like her don't you?" Dean asked causing Sam to raise his arms and look up at the ceiling to avoid the topic. "All right, you like her, she likes you, you're consenting adults..."
"What's the point Dean, We'll just leave, we always leave." Sam frustratingly pointed out.
"Well I'm not talking about marriage Sam."
"I don't get it, why do you care if I hook up?"
"Cause then maybe you wouldn't be so cranky all the time." Dean calmly told against Sam's angered voice.
Sam just stared at him before huffing out a breath before looking away, and Dean sat up next to me on the bed. "You know, seriously Sam, this isn't just about hooking up, okay? I mean, I think that this Sarah girl could be good for you."
Sam continued to say nothing but let out a sigh before he scratched his head, and Dean watched him closely.
"And...I don't mean any disrespect but I'm sure this is about Jessica right? Now I don't know what it's like to lose somebody like that...but...I would think that she would want you to be happy." Dean softly stated.
'That's right. They told me that Sam's girlfriend passed away before Sam officially came back into this life. I feel terrible for him.'
"God forbid have fun once in a while. Wouldn't she?"
"Yeah I know she would." He softly told before giving a half smile and then giving a heavy sigh. "Yeah you're right. Part of this is about Jessica. But not the main part."
"What's it about?" We both asked but he wouldn't say anything.
"Yeah all right." Dean told before lying back down and crossed his arms again. "Well we still gotta see that painting, which means you still gotta call Sarah...so..."
Sam picked his phone up and cleared his throat. I saw Dean shake his head before closing his eyes and settling in. I decided to ignore the conversation between the two and focused on Dean. I knew he knew I was just watching him but I still decided to go with the stupid thought I had. I went to poke his cheek when Dean spoke.
"I'll make you regret it, Kat." He told causing me to freeze.
'Is the risk worth the reward that does not exist?........ I think it do!'
I poked his cheek before pulling back. He quickly moved his arm and pulled me down so I was resting against his chest, and he crossed his arms again.
"Comfy?"
"Yeah seems like it." I told making him smirk.
He opened one of his slightly and watched Sam's poor attempt at talking to the girl he liked.
"Yeah good, really good." Sam told repeating himself.
"Smooth..." Dean whispered making me chuckle before he closed his eye again.
"So...so ah listen. Me my brother, and our friend Kat, we were...uh...thinking that maybe we'd like to come back in and look at the painting again. I think maybe we are interested in buying it...what!?"
As soon as Sam's tone changed, Dean snapped to attention, making me do the same.
"Who'd you sell it to?" Sam asked as he stood up making me and Dean sit up. "Sarah I need an address right now."
'Fuck a duck!'
