Vampire Huntin Season!

I snuck up towards the vampire that was swigging from a bottle as he guarded the front of the barn doors. As he took another swig, he turned to find me standing behind him.
"Boo." I told before swinging my machete, cutting his head clean off before I made my way into the barn.
I made a b-line to the locked container full of people.
"I told you I'd come back." I told them before I began to break the hinges to set them free.

After we were done with that, we made our way and found dad thanks to Kat being able to figure out where he was by sensing him.
"I'm curious how far the extent of my powers go." Kat quietly told before we were close enough to see what was happening.
"Oh, I don't need it for you. I'm saving it for something else." Dad told to what seemed to be the leader of the vampires. "Put the colt down, or she goes first.
"All right. Just don't hurt her." He told before placing the Colt on the ground.
"Back up. Further." Dad ordered making him do so.
Dad dragged Kate forward with him and leaned down with her so he could pick up the gun.
"It's a nice move, you almost made it." The leader told before Kat swung around and knocked Dad back against his truck.
We quickly got the bows ready with Kat being first and shot one of the vampires into the throat right away.
"Fucken mint!" She told as the three of us rushed out  of the trees.
I paused to line up and shot another vamp with my crossbow. Sam moved towards the leader, who back handed him and Kat essentially had disappeared. I grabbed a machete and turned to help Sammy only to see the leader had his arm around Sam's throat.
"Don't! I'll break his neck. Put the blade down." He ordered but I didn't move, causing his grip to tighten on Sam's neck, making me drop the machete.
"You people. Why can't you leave us alone? We have as much right to live as you do." He told making Dad speak from behind him.
"I don't think so."
The leader turned around to see dad raise the colt and shoot him between the eyes. He let go of Sam, who stumbled away gasping, and I was quick to pull Sam behind me and when I saw Kat next to us, I pulled her behind me as well. A sigil appeared where the bullet had hit him and he stumbled back. There was a brief flash of light that reflected his skeleton, before falling to his knees.
"Luther!" Kate explained before there was another flash of light that passed through him, and he slumped to the ground dead.
Kate started to head towards dad till another vamp grabbed ahold of her, pulling her into their car. They took off with the wheels scream and Kat spoke up showing a bright smile plastered onto her face.
"Did you guys know if you mix tequila, whiskey and some very good lighter fluid, you can make a very explosive Molotov. Add dead man's blood to deal with vamps and, it's VAMPIRE HUNTIN SEASONS BOYS!" She exclaimed before dropping a match onto the ground and a trail of fire rushed towards the escaping cars, making them blow up. "God damn that is one hell of a gorgeous fire."
"Dude, what is with Kat and fire?" Sam questioned.
"Oh she has a thing. Pyromania I think it's called." I told.
"What the hell is that?"
"It means I have an attraction to fire and either starting or seeing it gives me relief." Kat told with a loving sigh as she just stared at the fire.
"It might be permanent, we aren't sure yet." I added.
"Where the hell did you find this girl?" Dad asked making us all look towards him.
"Uni."

The three of us were packing our things up in our motel room when Dad came in.
"So boys, girl." He told making us face him.
"Yes sir." Sam spoke so dad knew to continue.
"You ignored a direct order back there." He pointed out.
"Yes sir."
"If you plan on grounding us, just remember, I'm not biologically yours and you probably don't see me as a child just someone your children hang out with. So you can't actually ground me." Kat stated making us all smile.
"Yeah but we saved your ass." I added.
"You're right."
"I am?" I asked in shock since this never happens.
"It scares the hell out of me. You two are all I've got, I guess three now. But I guess we are stronger as a family. So...let's go after this damn thing. Together." He told making us all nod.
"Yes sir." The three of us told as one to him.
