~ (Episode 15: The Benders) ~

We were dressed as Sheriffs as we talked to a boy who was the witness and his mother.
"I know you're just doing your job, but the police have been here all week already. I don't see why we have to go through this again. The more he tells the story, the more he believes it's true." Mrs. McKay explained making us take our hats off.
"Mrs. McKay, we know you spoke with the local authorities." Sam told.
"But, uh, this seems like a matter for the state police, so...." Dean added trailing off at the end and I added helping put them at ease.
"We understand you wanting to put this whole thing behind you."
"Don't worry about how crazy it sounds, Evan. You just tell us what you saw." Sam told as we gave a caring smile.
"I was up late, watching TV. When I heard this weird noise." Evan explained.
"What did it sound like?"
"It sounded like....a monster." He told making the three of us exchange a look.
"Tell the officers what you were watching on TV." Mrs. McKay told.
"Godzilla Vs. Mothra." He admitted making me and Dean smile.
"That's my favorite Godzilla movie." Dean told.
"I grew up loving that movie." I added making him smile.
"It's so much better than the original, huh?" Dean asked.
"Totally."
"Yeah." He told before nodding towards Sam. "He likes the remake."
"Yuck!" He told and Sam glared towards me and Dean before he cleared his throat, making us stop.
"Evan, did you see what this thing was?" Sam asked to get us on track.
"No. But I saw it grab Mr. Jenkins. It pulled him underneath the car."
"Then what?" Me and him asked.
"It took him away. I heard the monster leaving. It made this really scary sound."
"What did it sound like, Evan?" Sam questioned.
"Like this...whining growl." He told making us exchange another look.
"Thanks for your time." Sam told before we left.
As we walked back to Baby, I couldn't help but think about what happened the other day.

I was reading through their dad's journal next to Dean when I saw something underlined.
'Contact: Brainiac ~..... who's Brainiac?"
"Who's brainiac in your fathers book?" I asked looking up at them to see Sam gave a shocked look while Dean had a more hurtful one.
"It's no one." Dean told as he shut the book that was in front of me before getting up and leaving the room.
"Did I say something wrong?" I asked as I looked at Sam, worried I've upset him.
"Last time I heard, he hasn't spoken to her since she was 17."
"Is she like a sister or ex girlfriend?"
"Neither. But she is family so I guess she is like a younger sister to him and a older sister for me."
"Then why did he act like she was no one?"
"I think he feels guilty with how things were left with them."
I was silent as I tried to think of what I was going to do to cheer him up, when Sam had spoken up.
"Don't feel bad about it. Dad didn't exactly approve of her choices in her life, and even though Dean tried to protect her and I know he supports her.... but in the end he had to pick dads side."
"Why doesn't he call her to make up?"
"I never know why. I think he is just worried she wants nothing to do with him cause of what happened."
"Did you?"
"I did as soon as I left. She helped me a lot, payed for things I needed. Even set up an allowance for me with her money till I stopped studying. Haven't spoken to her since."
"She sounds lovely."
"I think you two would get along well together."
