We were sitting in front of Monica's house in the Impala, and the colt was rested between us. We were watching the couple finish their dinner when Sam spoke up.
"Maybe we could tell em it was a gas leak. Might get em out of the house for a few hours." He suggested.
"Yeah and how many times has that actually worked for us?" Dean asked.
"Yeah......We could always tell em the truth." He suggested.
We all just shared a look at what he suggested before we all spoke as one.
"Nah!"
"I know I know. I just...with what's coming for these folks..." Sam began till Dean cut him off.
"Sam we only got one move and you know it, all right? We gotta wait for that demon to show itself and then we get it before it gets them." He told before we all looked back at the house for a while.
"I wonder how Dad's doing." Sam suddenly told.
"I'd feel a lot better if we were there backing him up."
"I'd feel a lot better if he were here backing us up."
"I'd feel better knowing we can take a long nap after this." I finally told making them laugh. We were still waiting in Baby, and I was curled up next to Dean as he rested his arm on my shoulders so we were both comfortable.
"This is weird." Sam told confusing us.
"What?" We both asked to get more context.
"After all of these years we're finally here. It doesn't seem real."
"We just gotta keep our heads and do our job, like always." Dean pointed out while I listened to his heart bear quicken a little bit.
"Yeah but this isn't like always."
"True."
"Dean...ah...I wanna thank you." Sam told confusing his brother.
"For what?"
"For everything. You've always had my back you know? Even when I couldn't count on anyone I could always count on you. And ah...I don't know I just wanted to let you know, Just in case....." he explained till Dean cut his off before he could go any further.
"Whoa whoa whoa, are you kidding me?"
"What?"
"Don't say just in case something happens to you. I don't wanna hear that freaking speech man. Nobody's dying tonight. Not us, not that family, nobody. Except that demon. That evil son of a bitch ain't getting any older than tonight, you understand me?" He told making Sam nod.
"I'm thankful you guys got me kicked out of uni." I admitted making their focus turn to me.
"Why?" They both questioned.
"I had no friends, all I did was school, sleep, eat and repeated that. You two showed up cause my roommate died, and here I am with my two best friends in the world. Honestly, I think I am truely happy now. With you two dumbasses."
"We're happy with you as well Kat." Dean told making me smile.Dean was holding his phone to his ear as he tried to check in on their father, only for it to not go anywhere.
"Dad's not answering." He admitted with a worry tone.
"Maybe Meg was late. Maybe cell reception's bad." Sam suggested to try and help calm us from thinking the worse.
"Yeah well."
The radio began to chatter with the static making me and Sam focus on that.
"Dean wait. Listen." Sam told before rolling the dial on the radio.
We began to hear more static come and go on the radio as he did so, and the wind began to pick up while the lights in the house flickered.
"It's coming." Sam told as Dean looked as us, making us all rush out of Baby and head to the house.Dean used a card to slide the lock on the front door open and we quietly entered. As we approached the lounge, sam and me were the first to go in, when Dean was confronted by the ladies husband. He swung a bat at Dean's head only to miss and smash a lamp.
"Get out of my house!" He ordered before Dean closed in and grappled with him, grabbing the bat. "Get out of my house!"
"Please please. Mr Holden please." Sam pleaded to hope he understood.
"I don't like the implications you're thinking. We aren't gonna kill your wife and child, we aren't monsters." I pointed out as Dean took control and swung him against the wall, holding the bat across his throat.
"Be quiet and listen to me. Be quiet and listen. We are trying to help you." Dean sharply told before we heard Monica's voice from upstairs.
"Charlie? Is everything okay?"
"Monica get the baby!" Her husband shouted making Sam shout back.
"Don't go in the nursery!"
"You stay away from her!" Her husband ordered as he struggled to get away from Dean.
Dean backhanded him, knocking him unconscious and put him over his shoulder like a fireman would.
"Hot." I admitted to him before feeling heat rise in me, causing me to run after Sam to get to the nursery.
I entered the room as Sam raised the Colt and pulled the trigger. Sadly it didn't hit the demon and he instead disappeared into smoke. Monica screamed as she fell to the floor.
"Where the hell did it go?!" Sam questioned only for me to rush and find a blanket for Rosie.
"My baby!" Monica screamed as she stood and tried to move towards the cot, only for Sam to catch her. "My baby!"
"No wait!"
"MY BABY!" She called as Dean ran past them and headed for the cot.
"Take her and go!"
"Rosie!"
"Come on." Sam told to her and I finally found the my first blanket that some parents do.
"My baby!"
"Dean and Kat's got her." Sam told her as he dragged her out.
Dean quickly wrapped the blankets around her as he pulled her up. I quickly took her and placed the blanket over her head to protect her more when the cot exploded into flames, making us race out of the room and house. We heard the nursery window explode outwards from the fire, making me hold Rosie closer to my body so she wouldn't inhale so much smoke. We joined the others outside and Monica was beginning to cry as she saw us bring Rosie outside to safety.
"I mean they saved us." She told her husband before I passed Rosie to her, and her husband put his arms around them both. "Thank you."
We turned back to the burning house, devastated that we failed. We saw the silhouette of the demon in the burning nursery, standing completely still. Once Sam realised, he began to head back in making me and Dean try and stop him.
"It's still in there!"
"Sam. Sam, no." Dean told as he grabbed his arm.
"Don't be idiotic!" I added.
"Dean let me go, it's still in there." Sam told as he struggled to get out of Deans grasp.
"No. It's burning to the ground, it's suicide." Dean pointed out.
"I don't care!" He yelled towards us.
"I do!" Dean yelled back.
"Boys...." I told as I looked up at the window, making them follow my gaze to see the flames rose again, allowing the demon to disappear.
