(Dean p.o.v)

Sam was driving Baby behind dads truck while I read what was known about Vampires and Kat was just relaxing in the middle of us.
"Vampires nest in groups of eight to ten. Smaller packs are sent to hunt for food. victim are taken to the nest where the pack keeps them alive, bleeding them for days or weeks.' I wonder if that's what happened to that 911 couple." I told.
"That's probably what Dad's thinking. Course it would be nice if he just told us what he thinks." Sammy told with a grumpy attitude.
"So it is starting." Dean told making Kat tilt her head to the side a little since we didn't really talk about the relationship Sam and dad had most of the time.
"What?"
"Sam we been looking for Dad all year. Now we're not with him for more than a coupla hours and there's static already?" I questioned.
"Hmph. No. Look, I'm happy he's ok, all right? And I'm happy that we're all working together again." He told making me eye him suspiciously.
"Well good."
"It's just the way he treats us, like we're children." Sam told as he was unable to hold himself back.
"Oh God." I mumbled.
"As much as John doesn't seem that great..."
"Really Kat?" I questioned since this was news to me.
"Ok I've only met the guy once before. I'm still trying to see what he is like, hence why I said seem. I'm still meeting him."
'I suppose that's fair.'
"As I was saying. He doesn't seem that great, but you boys are his children. It makes sense that he would treat you like that, despite being adults." She explained but Sam wasn't having any of that thinking.
"He barks orders at us Dean, Kat, he expects us to follow 'em without question. He keeps us on some crap, need to know deal." He stated and even I was getting annoyed at this.
"He does what he does for a reason." I reasoned.
"What reason?" Sam argued.
"Our job! There's no time to argue, there's no margin for error, all right? That's just the way the old man runs things." I pointed out and Kat was now covering her ears to try and drown us out.
'I feel bad that she is stuck in the middle for this.'
"Yeah well maybe that worked when we were kids but not anymore, all right. Not after everything you and I have been through Dean. I mean, are you telling me you're cool with just falling into line, letting him run the whole show?" Sam questioned making me give him a long look.
"If that's what it takes." I told before giving Kat a pat on the leg so she knew she could lower her hands and I gave her an apologetic look.

Sam was still driving into the night, with us still following after our father. I had my arm over Kats shoulders since she was partly nodding off every now and then and I was on a call with dad.
"Yeah dad. All right, got it." I told before hanging up and turning my attention to Sammy. "Pull off at the next exit."
"Why?" He asked not hiding his anger, making me just ignore it.
"Cause Dad thinks we've got the vampire's trail." I informed him only for his anger to grow more.
"How?"
"I don't know he didn't say." I admitted.
Something in Sam had snapped at that, making gun gun the engine. Kat grabbed ahold of the dash as Sam sped past dads truck as he over took it. Once he was in front, he slammed on the brakes, causing us to swerve sideways as Dads truck came to a halt.
"Well that's a wake up call." Kat told as she caught her breath.
Sam didn't say anything and rushed out of Baby and meet dad who was also out of his truck, with a pissed off look.
"Oh crap. Here we go." I told before quickly following, making Kat do the same. "Sam!"
"What the hell was that?" Dad questioned.
"We need to talk." Sam stated as the two came to a halt face to face.
"About what?"
"About everything. Where we going Dad? What's the big deal about this job?" He questioned.
"Sammy come on, we can Q and A after we kill all the vampires." I told trying to deescalate the situation.
"Your brother's right, we don't have time for this." Dad told only for nothing to work.
"Last time we saw you you said it was too dangerous for us to be together. Now out of the blue you need our help. Obviously something big is going down and we wanna know what." Sam yelled towards him causing Kat to cover her ears.
"Get back in the car." Dad ordered.
"No."
"I said get back in the damn car!" He ordered again and I felt a small wave of something like when we were Meg's hostages and Kat screamed, only smaller.
"Yeah. And I said no." Sam told making me get in between since I was worried what might happen if they didn't.
"Ok you made your point tough guy. Look we're all tired, we can talk about this later. Sammy I mean it, come on." I told as I grabbed him and pushed him towards baby, but he was still staring at dad.
"This is why I left in the first place." Sam mumbled.
"What did you say?" Dad questioned making Sam swing back.
"You heard me."
"Yeah. You left. Your brother and me, we needed you. You walked away." Dad pointed out.
"Sam..." I began only for it to get cut off by our father yelling.
"You walked away!"
"Stop it, both of you." I told as I felt the wave feel a bit stronger then what it was before.
"You're the one who said don't come back Dad, you closed that door not me. You were just pissed off that you couldn't control me anymore!" Sam exclaimed making me force them apart>
"Listen, stop it, stop it. Stop it! That's enough!" I shouted but it seemed like the two weren't gonna stop as they stared at each other over my head.
"SHUT UP!" Kat screamed causing the cars to slightly move sideway from their spots, making all three of us stop and look at her. "I am a child of divorce parents! I hate peoples fighting. So everyone is gonna be god damn civil, and that means in your heads as well. I'm psychic, I can hear what you wanna god damn say, most of the time. And you know what? If none of you can go without fighting for a few minutes, I will take a shotgun with rocksalt and shoot you in the bloody knees. And if not that, I'll get the crow bar and hit you in the knees! Got it?! Good! I'm exhausted, so I'm gonna go back in the car. If I see fighting, I'm coming for those knees!"
She straightened her shirt before heading into baby and sitting back in her usual spot in the front.
"Safe to say. We just saw Kat be actually mad." I told.
Sam turned around and headed to Baby after Kat while Dad headed to his truck. I was now standing alone in the middle, looking from one to the other.
"Terrific." I mumbled to myself before heading to Baby.
