I was sitting next to Dean on one of the couches in Roy and Sue Ann's house, while Sur Ann stood up to fill a glass.
"I feel great. Just trying to, you know, make sense of what happened." Dean stated as he made sure I was close to him incase they did anything to harm us.
"A miracle is what happened. Well, miracles come so often around Roy." Sue Ann told
"When did they start? The miracles." Dean asked looking towards Roy.
"We are just very curious how it all goes."
"Woke up one morning, stone blind. Doctors figured out I had cancer. Told me I had maybe a month. So, uh, we prayed for a miracle. I was weak, but I told Sue Ann, 'You just keep right on praying.' I went into a coma. Doctors said I wouldn't wake up, but I did. And the cancer was gone." He told before taking his sunglasses off to show his eyes were white "If it wasn't for these eyes, no one would believe I'd ever had it."
"And suddenly you could heal people." We both stated as one.
"I discovered it afterward, yes. God's blessed me in many ways."
"And his flock just swelled overnight. And this is just the beginning." Sue Ann told.
"Can I ask you one last question?" Dean asked making him give a nod.
"Of course you can." He told
"Why? Why me? Out of all the sick people, why save me?"
"Well, like I said before, the Lord guides me. I looked into your heart, and you just stood out from all the rest."
"What did you see in my heart?"
"A young man with an important purpose. A job to do. And it isn't finished." He told making Dean look slightly surprised at it, before he continued with something we weren't suspecting. "As well as helping a girl achieve greatness."
'Really?'
"Who's this girl?" I asked
"I'm not sure. Just someone who has a purpose in life that he is to help with, and that she has yet to realise that she is special."
'This is strange.'

We were leaving the house when we saw Layla walking up the stairs, and her mother was following behind her.
"Dean, Kat, hey." Layla spoke making me give a wave as Dean Spoke.
"Hey."
"How you feeling?" She asked as she didn't stop smiling.
"I feel good. Cured, I guess. What are you doing here?"
"You know, my mom, she wanted to talk to the reverend."
"That's nice of her." I told making her smile towards me as the door behind us opened and Sue Ann came walking towards us.
"Layla?" She questioned as she walked up till she was in front of her.
"Yes, I'm here again." She softly told.
"Well, I'm sorry, but Roy is resting. He won't be seeing anyone else right now." Sue Ann told as Layla's mother came up next to us.
"Sue Ann, please. This is our sixth time, he's got to see us." She told.
"Roy is well aware of Layla's situation. And he very much wants to help just as soon as the Lord allows. Have faith, Mrs. Rourke." She told before going back inside.
'Good to know that's her mother's name.'
As on que, Mrs. ROURKE stares at the door before turning around, looking at the both of us.... But mostly to Dean.
"Why are you still even here? You got what you wanted." She told with frustration.
"Mom. Stop." Layla told
"No, Layla, this is too much. We've been to every single service. If Roy would stop choosing these strangers over you. Strangers who don't even believe. I just can't pray any harder."
'I feel like this is going to be bad.'
"Layla, what's wrong?" Dean asked
"I just want the tumour gone." She told but her lips didn't move like usual.
"I have this thing..." she began before her mother cut in.
"It's a brain tumor. It's inoperable. In six months, the Doctors say..." she told only stopping when Layla put her hand on her shoulder.
"I'm sorry." Dean told
"Wish we could help." I added
"It's okay." She told making her mother stare into her daughters eyes.
"No. It isn't." She told before looking towards Dean. "Why do you deserve to live more than my daughter?"
Before we could say anything, she walked away having Layla take a deep shaky breath to calm herself before she followed after her mother. We watched them leave before Dean looked back towards the house.
'Why do I keep hearing or seeing things others don't?'
I felt a hand be placed on my back making me look towards Dean.
"Come on. We gotta go back to the motel."
"Okay." I told before we walked to Baby.
"Don't listen to her. Roy said so himself,  'My purpose is to help a girl achieve her greatness.' Or what ever he said."
"We don't even know who the girl is."
"We'll work it out. Right now though, I think we should get some food and meet back up with Sammy."
"Okie."
"There she is. Come on, Princess."
'I'm glad we saved him.... But I feel like this is not going to turn out well.'
