Chapter Twenty-Two:
Percy
Over the course of a few weeks, I tried bringing Rosie to places that had been familiar to her, yet nothing so far had worked. She'd been staying in a motel near where we lived. Finally, I took her back to the doctor because I was out of ideas.
"Have you brought her to see her mother yet? Any of her friends?" asked Dr. Langley.
"No," I answered.
"Okay. That might be part of our problem. It has been about three weeks, so she should start to regain memories within a week or two naturally. If you want to try and speed up the process, introduce her to some people. Try her mother, your daughter, some old teachers, people like that."
Rosie and I nodded. "Okay...are you willing to try that?" I asked.
"Yes. I want to see my mom and tell her...everything." She was determined.
"Alright. Is there anything else you think I should know, Rosalie?"
"I remembered another thing. There was a lot of white lighting, smelled like blood, and I couldn't talk. Like there was a tube down my throat."
"It sounds like you were in a hospital. " said Dr. Langley. "Can you remember anything else?"
"I heard a lot of crying. It sounded like a girl, but I'm not sure."
My heart sank. I knew that had been Annabeth, fearing she'd lost her only child forever.
"Thank you, Rosalie, Mr. Jackson. I suggest taking her to see her mother soon. I'll see you at your next appointment in a few weeks." He got up and left.
"When...When can I see my mom?" Rosie asked me.
"Whenever you like. I can bring you to our apartment right now and we can wait for her to get home from work if you want."
She slowly nodded. "I want to see her as soon as possible."

On the way back home, I got a call from Annabeth. It was connected to the BlueTooth in my car. I turned around and motioned for Rosie to be quiet before answering.
"Hey, Annabeth." I said.
"Hey...I um...I have some news." Annabeth said hesitantly.
"What is it?" I began to get worried.
"You know how Magnus works for a law firm?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Well they were working on Luke's case, and they found a lot of evidence surrounding Rosalie and what could have happened to her."
I choked a little bit, momentarily looking back at Rosie. She shrugged.
"Um...wow. That's great, Annabeth. I mean, it might not be great, but it could be?"
"Yeah...I'm going out to Boston tomorrow morning to look into things a little bit. I just found out and I figured I'd call right away."
"Yeah, no, I get that. So, you are leaving tomorrow?"
"Yes, Percy. I'm leaving tomorrow."
"Okay. That's great. Do you know how long you are staying?"
"Just a few days. I just need to find out what's going on."
"Makes sense. I've got to run into the store, but I'll see you at home, alright?"
"Yep. Love you."
