Chapter Twenty-Nine: Call the B*tches B*tches

Annabeth

I'll admit, it was a little startling when Percy came home and told me that Rachel wanted to see Annie.

"So you are sure she's sober?" I asked.

"Yes, I'm sure. She cared enough to get mad that I forgot to tell her we moved, so yeah, I'm pretty sure she's okay for Annie to be around." Percy sighed. "I understand why you are worried, but I can tell they miss each other."

"Okay," I nodded. "Have you talked to Annie about it yet?"

"I will tonight." he looked down at his laptop and groaned. "On a different note, I need help." I smiled and went to see what was on his screen.

"How the hell am I supposed to write a report on what to do about the pollution in the Hudson River if I've never taken the time to look at it? I haven't even been to the Jersey side."

"Can't you just go look at it?"

"It's already dark and I've been putting this off for over a week. My deadline is tomorrow morning." Percy glared at the blank document.

"Why did you put it off?"

"I didn't want to do it!"

"Look up recent pictures and go off that." I suggested.

"You are brilliant, Annabeth."

I smirked, "I know."

"Ugh, rude."

The next day, I didn't have to work, Percy only had to bring in his report and drop Annie off at Rachel's apartment, and Rosie wanted to go to a friend's house for the day, so we had the day to ourselves.

"Percy..." I whined from the couch.

"What...?" He mocked me.

"I'm bored,"

"Hi bored, I'm Percy."

I sat up, disappointed in his response. "Dad jokes don't become you."

I felt his chin resting in the crook of my neck, "You're right, they don't"

"Your shirt doesn't either," I said. "It would look so much better on the floor."

"Flirty this morning, hm?"

I looked up at Percy, grinning. "Always"

"I bet you are right. This shirt would look better on the floor. Want to do the honors?"

"Of course,"

"I love you, Annabeth." Percy smiled at me.

I pulled one of Percy's shirts over my head and sat on his lap.

"I love you ten times more."

"Well I love you with all my heart." He said.

I raised an eyebrow, "No you don't."

"I don't?" Percy gave me a confused look.

"We've got to save room for our kids and family and friends."

"True...and blue food."

"And blue food," I agreed. "What time is it?" I crawled over to my phone to check the time. "10:20"

"But it was just nine!"

"Hey, time flies when you are having fun."

"Shut up," Percy blushed.
