"Tangina! ano 'yon Kaizer Ace!"
Pierce screams with his lungs out, stomping his foot in anger, and glaring at the guy who is now laying on the basketball court with his team circling him. . . what the fuck just happened?
Almost all of the students here are disappointed, because-well, Kaizer's charisma brought half of his schoolmates here in Elite. Dove, Chanel, Yvane, and Olivia are still, frozen in their seats-maybe three or even six glances were exchanged by my friends.
I, on the other hand is currently guilty. Am I the reason why they lost? because I didn't say good luck to Kaizer? is that it?
Damn, but. . . I could have swore Creston almost had it! Coach subbed Kaizer for the second and third quarter, but he lets him in again for the last one-and it was freaking amazing. . . Kaizer, was on top of his shape, but they still lost.
"Shet! ang bebe Kaizer ko!" Dove screamed and she finally stood up from her seat, her eyes finds Kaizer, who is still laying on the court.
"Landi mo Dove, mahiya ka naman kay Cyrena" Olivia poked Dove's ribs.
"Olivia naman!" Dove snaps and turn around to look at us, "sayang kasi 'yon, eh! sure akong makakahabol pa sila" she cries in desperation.
"I agree with Dove," this time, Chanel spoke, and for the first time in ever, she's finally interested in sport, "What do you think Yvane?" she asked the sport-expert in the group, and with that, we all looked at Yvane, waiting for her comment.
"The Elite Team is strong-I give them that," she shakes her head, "pero paniguradong hindi magiging ganito ang resulta kung hindi umalis si Kaizer sa court"
I lowered my head and let them complain about today's match between Creston and Elite. All the complaints are mostly from Pierce, who just can't shut his mouth together with Dove. And I guess it's man's instincts, but I heard him say that if he, himself is frustrated, then Kaizer's emotion as of the moment is beyond that frustrated.
Fourth quarter, 58 seconds left on the clock, anger and determination to win was visible on Kaizer's face but the gap is too many for Creston which leads them to this sorrowful defeat-
Still, as the Captain of Creston, he was sure that they can still turn the tables on Elite, Kaizer wants to win for his team."Uy, pa-picture tayo kay Kaizer mamaya" I heard Dove suggested beside me.
"What? there's too many students hovering him right now"
"Mamaya nga diba? mag hintay tayo"
Pierce lets out a groan again, I finally lift up my head to look at him. "Damn this game! fucking Sylvester," he cussed while fixing his clothes, getting ready to leave the scene, "And here I thought the jerk deserves to be called the captain," he strides off the bleachers, and Yvane tags along with him, but she told me to send her congratulations to Kaizer.
We're currently sitting still, waiting for the students to leave and have the perfect timing to approach Kaizer, which, speaking of, is now standing on his feet, talking to his team mates.
"Did something happened earlier between you and Kaizer?" Chanel asked not giving me a single glance.
I let out a sigh and lied between my breathe, "Wala, nag-usap lang kami"
