Chapter 42

I combed my curled black hair that ends in my waist with my fingers while waiting for the plane to land in the Philippines. My back aches because I've been sitting here for almost 16 hours now, and the fact that I'm traveling alone makes my mood rotten.

"Miss Santiago," I turned to the Flight attendant who's currently serving me my dessert. "Are you uncomfortable somewhere? shall we move you to a more spacious sit?" she asked, carefully putting the strawberry cake in front of me.

"When is this plane going to land? my back has been aching for quite a while now"

She gave me a smile and said, "We'll arrive in just a minute, Miss. Shall I inform the Captain about your concerns?"

We felt the plane landed in the runway, which made me feel at ease, knowing that I'm finally going to get out of this seat. The flight attendant told me to wait more for a couple of seconds before going in front of the plane.

"Mga binibini, ginang, at ginoo kalalapag lang po natin sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport at tayo ay patungo na sa Terminal 1. Maligayang pag dating dito sa Manila. Mangyari po lamang na manatiling nakaupo at nakakabit ang seatbelt. Wag po lamang kunin ang mga gamit hanggang ang ating eroplano ay hindi pa ganap na nakahinto. Sa ngalan ng Philippine Airlines, kami po ay nag papasalamat sa iyong pagtangkilik sa amin. Inaasahan po namin ang muli nating pag kikita. Maraming salamat"

I carefully lifted the blind that was covering the window to check the outside. My heart beats fast when I finally saw a familiar place that I've last seen 12 years ago. The feeling of excitement and anxiousness are rushing to me. Since there are only a few of us here in first class, napadali ang pag labas ko ng Airplane. Hindi na nga ako nagulat nang makita ang isang gwardya na bumungad sa akin pag labas.

"Ako 'ho ang inutusan ni Director na samahan kayo at masigurado na magiging komportable ang pananatili niyo 'rito sa Pilipinas," kinuha neto ang isang maleta na dala ko tsaka ako pinayungan dahil sa init ng panahon dito. "Nag hihintay na 'rin po si Attorney Auclair sainyo,"

I carefully lowered my shades and looked at him in disbelief. "Attorney Auclair? he's here?" I asked before walking with him towards the exit.

"Kanina pa 'ho ito nandito at sabik na makita kayo" paliwanag niya sa akin kaya natawa ako nang mahina bago suotin ulit nang maayos ang shades ko.

Unbelievable.

As soon as we got out of the Airport, my eyes immediately went to the tall guy who's outfit is all black from head to toe, catching all the attention of the ladies around him. From his clean undercut hair, fair skin, pink lips and cheeks, slicked thick eyebrows, a black sunglasses, and his stylish watch that has been glistening for quite a while now.

"Is he here to pick me up? or to be a runway model?" I muttered to myself before approaching him together with my appointed bodyguard.

"Attorney, nandito na 'ho si Engineer Santiago" the guard announced which made him look at me.

Killian removed his sunglasses, revealing his foreign eyes. "Good Afternoon, Engineer, missed me?" he asked with a hint of sultry in his tone.

"Unfortunately, I didn't miss you, not even an ounce, Attorney" I removed my sunglasses and looked at him in the eyes. Killian quickly averted his gaze to my lips before looking up to my eyes again. "How long are you going to stare at me?" Natauhan naman ito at tinulungan ang gwardya na ilagay ang gamit ko sa likuran ng kotse. Maya-maya pa ay pumasok na kaming dalawa sa backseat, habang pinag-maneho naman kami nung guard.
