44. The Perfect Piece to a Complicated Puzzle

Nagising ako na nakababa pa lahat ng blinds sa loob ng kwarto, which is a good thing because I think that the sun's already up and I hate waking up when it's too bright outside. Sobrang lamig din ng kwarto na pakiramdam ko ay nagye-yelo na ang mga paa ko.

I yawned and stretched before sitting up on the bed. I wrinkled my nose and groaned as I was greeted by the smell of green apples and mint. Inis parin ako kay Jason sa pagiging ma-desisyon nito. He insisted on picking the new scent inside my room, sabi niya pa ay magugustuhan ko— well guess what? Pakiramdam ko ay nasa loob ako ng bus papuntang probinsiya araw-araw dahil sa amoy nito. Mabuti nalang talaga ay napagkasunduan naming hahayaan ko itong mamili ng scented candle sa kwarto ko if he'll allow me to pick an air freshener for his car. I may not like the smell of my room but god, I fucking love it whenever I'm inside his car.

Don't mind us. We're just this pair of idiots who loves bothering each other's personal space.

Kinusot ko ang mata ko bago tiningnan ang paligid. The space beside me is already empty although mukhang sa ayos nito ay kakaalis lang ng taong nakahiga dun. I wonder where that guy is? He's probably at work already, baka pinatawag na 'yun ni Elaine for an early-morning emergency procedure or whatever.

Huminga muna ako ng malalim bago pinilit ang sariling makatayo. I hissed when I fully felt the soreness of my entire body.

"Fuck," bulong ko. Ayan kasi... Last night was fun, it was a wild one actually. 'Di ko rin naman masisisi ang mga bagay-bagay... Believe it or not, but last night was the first sex that we had after four years. Alam ko, 'di kapani-paniwala bilang ako si June at si Jason ay si, well, Jason but it's the truth. I admit that during the past two weeks, we were a bit touchy with each other pero never pang umabot sa sex, not until yesterday. I mean, I was really just going for giving him a head last night to prove a point but alam niyo naman si Jason, his middle name is extra. Hindi 'yun papayag na 'di rin siya pwedeng magpakitang-gilas.

I can't help but laugh at my own thoughts.

Dahan-dahan akong naglakad patungo sa drawer ko. Agad kong inabot ang unang panty na nakita ko at dali-dali 'yong sinuot. I also grabbed one tank top and put it on, I'm never really a fan of wearing bras whenever I'm at home.

Matapos kong makapag-hilamos at sipilyo, kinuha ko ang glasses ko sa ibabaw ng side table at agad nang naglakad papalabas ng kwarto.

The first thing that greeted me when I went outside was the quite-lit room, I had to squint my eyes to adjust for the brightness. Tingin ko ay malapit nang mag-tanghali, base sa sikat ng araw. The next thing that greeted me was the loud sound of pop music and of course, accompanied by the one and only, Jason Andres doing push ups in my living room on my yoga mat.

I should be used to this by now, right?

Jason's always the active guy. 'Di mapakali kung 'di nakakapag-exercise, nako-konsensya sa tuwing sunod-sunod na ang unhealthy foods na kinakain, he'll do basic exercises if given the time and space to do so but god, why does he always look this good every time that his muscles are flexing and tensing? And those freaking tatoos! Oh for the love of God! I mean, you should see him inside the ring back when he was still doing Muay thai... Lagi niyang nginingisihan at binibiro ang sparring partner niya but he can easily beat his ass without even blinking. He's that good, well except against Luke. But come on, that's Luke!

Minsan 'di ko talaga mapigilan ang sarili kong isisi kay Jason ang kaharutan ko noon. Kung 'di niya ako sinasama sa gym dati ay 'di ko talaga madi-diskubre na may thing ako with his muscles. I wasn't even aware of it all until I asked if I could join him in the shower after one of his sessions for the first time. I was twenty three back then! Twenty three and apparently, very horny.
