Zariah meets Madison when Horatio asks Susie about her husband Bob's gun luckily she had Caine with her at the time and Madison became distracted by the ever loveable pup who loves children more than.... most adults Madison even instantly fell in love with Zariah which didn't surprise Horatio one bit he knew she'd make a good mom he just hoped that someday she would believe it as well.... Zariah was once again in the Miami-Dade Police Department during the time that Horatio was interrogating Susie's husband Bob and Horatio's eyes meet hers just before he closes the blinds to hide what he may or may not end up doing to him by the time he got out of interrogation Zariah was gone he searched the room for her with his eyes but couldn't find her then sighed in relief when one of the officers said she went outside and he walks outside just in time to see Susie sitting in her car waiting for him and while he was talking to Susie Yelina walks out of the building.... Zariah walks from Horatio's vehicle to the front of the Miami-Dade Police Department and sees Yelina kiss Horatio's cheek "what was that for?"  Horatio asks softly after a pause Yelina replies "for finding out the truth about Ray"  he smiles then asks "you and Ray Jr going to be alright tonight?"  Yelina nods then says "tonight"  he replies "okay if you need anything...."  Yelina says with a smile "thank you"  then she walks away Horatio turns and sees Zariah staring at him with a blank face "Zar!?!"  he says softly with a surprised tone "it's fine.... I was waiting in the car and figured you'd start to worry where I had "run off too"!"  she replies he chuckles "I-I'm going to go for a walk"  she says "I'll join you"  he replies she nods then starts walking and he follows his long legs catching up with her long strides in no time.... she was always fast in almost everything she does.... he cautiously takes her hand in his she looks down at it for a few seconds but says nothing nor does she pull away and his body sighs with silent relief "she didn't see me either.... not until she walked away from you anyway!"  she tells him he chuckles "don't.... shouldn't you take care of your brothers box?!"  she asks "that can wait"  he replies she looks at him he looks at her and sighs then says "you're right"  he leans over and kisses her lips then says "I'll be right back.... don't go too far!"  she nods he lets go of her hand and walks back to the MDPD to take care of what he needed to take care of then walks out of the building, over to his car and drives to the one place he knew she'd be.... the beach.... parks his vehicle, climbs out of it, walks over to her, stands at her side and takes her hand in his and just like their first beach encounter she lays her head on his shoulder and he smiles at the feeling and the memory it brought.... a few days later Zariah ends up helping Calleigh with her back log in bullets "just because I'm afraid of them doesn't mean I don't know how to use one Leigh!.... just don't shoot any around me or put a pair of those lovely red silencing headphones over my ears if you do"  Zariah tells Calleigh who chuckles then replies with a smile "will do!"  Zariah says "I'll do the work but you have to fill out the papers if it's found out that I'm breaking this kind of rule in the building they may never let me in here again then what would Horatio do!?!"  Zariah teases Calleigh laughs "I know Trippy would never say anything but I don't want to get anyone in trouble!"  Zariah says Calleigh nods with a smile.... "what are you doing here!?!"  Horatio asks Zariah a hour later when he sees her walking down the hallway towards the bathroom "shh! don't tell anyone but I'm helping Leigh with Trippy's court case"  she whispers placing her finger over her lips he chuckles then says with a surprised tone "wait!.... you're working with guns!?!"   she replies "I have held one before Ratio.... not a loaded one mind you but I've still held one.... more than once!"  he chuckles she kisses his cheek then continues on her way towards the bathroom he watches her with his hands on his hip shaking his head with a smile on his face "did you know people think we're married!?! it's why they let me deal with Susie for you"  he hears her call out and he stares at her departing figure in shock no he did not know that.... "why do people always think it's the men!?! it isn't like they're the only ones capable of murder!"  Zariah asks Calleigh as they work side by side on Frank's case and Calleigh on the gun from a marks family home "I don't know"  Calleigh replies with a small smirk "just curious!"  Zariah says with a shrug Calleigh chuckles then slides a set of red headphones over her friends ears and Zariah chuckles.... a few days later Horatio came to Zariah with a request in other words he asked for her help you see everything the parents owned went to Zariah when they were put in jail not only that but everything her birth parents had went to her when they died.... which may have been another reason the parents killed their children's parents hoping that they would get what was owed to the children when they came of age.... Zariah hired a contracting team to fix up Angela Morton's home and brought a guard dog for her and her kids and when Angela told her that she didn't have enough money for that Zariah said a very Horatio Caine thing and told her "you let us worry about that"  and when she said us she was speaking of her, Horatio and Eric who heard what she planned to do and still wanted to help out....
