Zariah saw the bruise under Yelina's eyes so she figured that was possibly ONE of the reasons Horatio lied to her face and if that was his reason she found it unnecessary.... "what do you want!?!"  Horatio hears Yelina growl at someone he turns to see Zariah standing in front of Yelina with a emotionless expression on her face then hears Zariah say "Officer Jackson was looking for you and just so you know your problems are none of my business but ignoring them and pretending they don't exist doesn't make you strong it makes you stupid and NO ONE believes the "I fell on my own fist" lie! remember you have a son at home and when someone you pretend to love just so you don't feel lonely hurts you he hurts him too more than you realize! and instead of pushing Horatio away you should be grateful he still cares enough to throw me away for your lost, lonely, PATHETIC little heart!"  then he watches as she walks away Yelina watches her then turns to see Horatio staring at the now departing figure with a surprised heartbroken expression on his face he looked like he wasn't sure he should run after her or not and after a few seconds he walks out of the building.... "Zariah!"  Zariah hears Horatio call out softly she stops then turns around and her emotionless eyes meet his sad ones "you lied to me when I asked you not too!!"  she says softly he takes a step towards her and she takes a step back which makes him stop "I TRUSTED you!! I thought out of everyone you would NEVER lie to me and then you....!!"  she says softly and the sadness in his eyes deepens "I-I can't! not today and I'm sick and tired of always hearing "I'm sorry" from you!!"  she says "she's a victim of her own making and unlike Susie she doesn't want a hero even when she needs one! but if she can't stand up for herself then by all means do it for her for that is what you do! but I don't see why you needed to hide that from me!!"  she adds then she turns and walks away he stands there watching her leave and sighs then puts on his shades and walks towards his Hummer and drives towards his next Crime Scene.... it took Zariah a few days to even allow Horatio to even attempt to explain himself and during those days he had to watch her from afar as she visited Eric, Calleigh, Alexx and Ryan in the Crime Lab.... "you could have told me later instead of....!"  Zariah whispers after Horatio explained the whole thing "I know!"  he replies softly as he looks into her eyes she looks down at his hand and sees the ring she bought him on his ring finger and she chuckles softly he looks at her then looks down to see what she was looking at and smiles as he looks back up at her "you should take that off you're not as ready as you thought!.... I thought you knew that you could confide in me with anything but I guess I was wrong!"  she says softly he looks at her sadly then watches as she walks past him and out of the room "Zariah!"  he whispers softly with a sad tone as soon as he could no longer see her.... Horatio had to start all over with Zariah he had to regain her trust, then her friendship, then her heart and just like she did with the ring he bought her when they first started dating he never took the ring she bought him off but he had noticed that she no longer wore the one he bought her the day Yelina barked at her for no particular reason and it hurt his heart to see that.... while Horatio trying to regain Zariah's friendship and trust she worked with him and Eric when they went to a car dealership with a search warrant with Caine at her side "I'm not sure what he can do to help"  Eric says looking down at Caine "oh I know it's just sniffing and not saving but he's coming to protect anyway, whether it's me or the idiot we're about to annoy is yet to be determined!"  Zariah replies he chuckles.... a few minutes later Horatio hears Caine growl his low warning growl and he turns in time to see Zariah point her gun at the car dealership owners chest "Tempest!"  Horatio says in his "don't you do it!" warning tone "don't blame me if he ends up losing the small shriveled thing for fondling me!"  Zariah tells him Horatio's lips curl into a snarl as he holds back his anger as Caine's growl raises a pitch or two and the guy backs away in fright "Eric"  Zariah says Eric looks over at her and she raises the machine in her hand letting him know she found something he smiles and walks over to her "you ok!?!"  Eric asks as he stands at her side looking at the screen before him "I guess Caine's more well behaved than I am and I feel like I'm going to have to shower for a month!"  she replies he chuckles "this is why I wear pants to work skirts give them far too much access to unwanted things!"  she mutters to herself then she feels Horatio's presence behind her and hides a smile.... he's never called her Tempest before.... a few hours after she helped them at the car dealership Zariah helps Eric and so many others clean up a grocery store that was hit with a rocket launcher she joins the group in their applause for the owner when Horatio brings him back Horatio's eyes kept moving to her smiling face as she clapped with the others but her eyes never met his just stayed with the emotional elder who watched Eric, Frank and another man lift a awning and place it over the door of the store....
