Horatio's dreams came true his family was now once again living together under the same roof well all except Kyle who unfortunately still lives with his mother but his children that he had with Zariah were.... hopefully.... permanently sleeping in their own beds his wife once again sleeps at his side in their bed the house that once felt empty was once again full and finally felt like home again which he loves and she was once again there when he needed her the most visiting the Miami-Dade Police Department/ Crime Lab right when he needed her without ever knowing it until she got there with their kids and pup she was there when he had to arrest Reggie, when he found out that Reggie committed suicide in prison after finding out he had it all wrong to start with and that he killed a innocent woman for all the wrong reasons and when he met then lost a criminal turned hero of his own making named Hector she knew how hard he took every death he had to not only face but find answers for to be honest with all the things she got away with during those visits Horatio felt somewhat spoiled she broke a lot of rules just so he could see his children everyday and when she wasn't speaking to him those rules never got broken for she never brought them to his work place and now she was spoiling him all over again she always did find so many ways to make him happy and feel better when he had a off day and he really missed that.... when Horatio finished his case about a wealthy racehorse owner he met his wife, children and pup at the beach and was surprised to see them standing in-between two horses one that matched his hair color and one that matched hers when Zariah sees him looking over at them with a surprised expression on his face she smiles and says "I thought you'd like to learn something new"  he chuckles then walks over and she hands him the reigns of the red chestnut Arabian horse he smiles then puts his foot in the stirrup then lifts himself onto the horse she picks up Timothy and places him in front of his father as soon as he steadied himself into a comfortable position Horatio looks at his wife with a surprised expression on his face as Zariah lifts Deidra up onto the saddle of her horse and places their daughters hands on the saddle horn then climbs on herself "you think I'm just going to leave them here by themselves!?!"  she asks with a soft chuckle in her tone he chuckles with a smile then after a small lesson on how to safely ride with their children on the horse with them Zariah and Horatio start to slowly walk their horse down the beach with Caine walking beside them getting one of the best views of the sunset that they have had together in a long while "so why....!?!"  Horatio asks as they watch the sunset side by side while sitting on their horses "after the case you had I thought it fitting!"  Zariah replies he chuckles then takes her hand in his she looks down at their entwined hands then up into his eyes and smiles then slides her fingers through the bangs that flow down the side of his forehead and he chuckles then feels her soft luscious lips press themselves against his and he moans softly at the sensation "we should take the horses back and get these two in bed"  she says softly looking down at their children who fell asleep as they were riding he nods then they ride back to where they started and he carefully slides off his horse somehow masterfully maneuvering his body so he could bring his son down with him then he walks over to his wife and gently takes their daughter from her so she could get down and as he was putting their children in their car seats she was putting the horses into the trailer that is hooked to her vehicle "you want to follow us down or meet us at home?!"  she asks after she was done "I'll follow"  he replies with a smile she nods then says softly "Ratio!"  and his lips meet hers then he whispers as he cups her chin in his hand "I love you more than words can say"  she smiles then replies softly "I love you more than actions can speak"  he chuckles then they get into their respected vehicles and drive to the horse farm to give the horses and trailer back to their owner thanking then paying them for their kindness Zariah noticed how the owner watched Horatio paying specific attention to his badge and the patch on his Hummer and once they were out of earshot of the nosey man Zariah whispers "Ratio.... it might be best if you ride along with us from now on when we're together!"  Horatio looks at her oddly "he was paying to close attention to your badge and the Crime Lab logo on your Hummer and with the enemies you make not to mention they could use the fact they know a cops wife to try and get out of things or threaten whoever tries to "wrong" them in whatever way!.... I'm not ashamed of what you do I'm proud of it! but.... I have to think of them too!"  she waves her hand at their still sleeping children who were in their car seats then continues "and I won't let their misdeeds harm our children!"  he smiles as he slides his hand along her cheek and says "neither will I!"  she replies softly "I know but you're not always around and it's normally just me and Caine and....!"  he looks at her sadly "I'm not....!"  she starts he kisses her lips and whispers softly "I know!"  they get into their respected vehicles then drive home and Horatio thinks not only on what she said but the threat he had received earlier and he starts thinking about ways he could protect those he loves more than anything in the world he either keeps bringing danger into his world or becomes the danger and he needs to find a way to save his family from it all....
