After arresting his "favorite" Judge and letting the father of boy who murdered his victim know he could keep his home Horatio heads to the diner he took Zariah for their first date and just like he was hoping he would he saw his wife and their children sitting at the same table he and Zariah sat at on their first date he walks over sits beside his wife takes her hand in his lifts it to his lips and kisses it "I was hoping you'd make it!"  Zariah says softly with a smile "I'm sorry about earlier"  Horatio replies softly "you're not a god Ratio! you can't control every action made every day I'm just glad no one got hurt!"  she says as she slides her hand over his he smiles at her then kisses her lips to Horatio's surprise Zariah seemed to have ordered the same meals they had for their first date for when he looked up and over her shoulder he saw the waitress bring two plates of those exact meals to their table "I figured I'd do the full trip through memory lane.... well except for the outfits and the two extra guests.... I hope you don't mind!"  Zariah tells him he chuckles with a smile then replies "not at all!"  then they start eating talking about random things as they ate.... just not with their mouths full.... they stayed till Timothy and Deidra became fussy then they left and went home so they could put them in bed "I believe I forgot to mention how beautiful you look tonight!"  Horatio tells Zariah as he drives them home she blushes softly he smiles then leans over and kisses her lips taking her hand in his and holding it the rest of the way home "you know what I find odd!?"  she asks "no what!?"  he replies with a chuckle in his tone "if you hadn't been called in on this particular case these people would have probably lost their homes"  she says he smiles then replies "that's possibly true"  she shake her head and says "I know it is!.... no one cares as much as you do!"  he squeezes her hand gently "not to mention I'm not certain if the girls body would have been found and you wouldn't have been able to arrest your judge sometimes you're a little too through!"  she adds he chuckles.... a few weeks later while driving to the beach with her children Zariah sees a familiar redhead driving a unfamiliar van "Horatio!?!"  she whispers with a surprised worried tone she was surprised to see him not in his company Hummer and worried because he was overly focused on wherever he was going and didn't seem to see her driving next to him what was worse was that Caine who was in the backseat with the kids kept barking at him and the fact that Horatio didn't look over made her realize just how bad whatever he was now concentrating on is she continues to follow him just in case he may need her for some odd reason.... a little while later Zariah watches as Horatio parks the van on the beach climbs out of it and walks in her direction as Caine jumps out of her vehicle through the door she just opened so she could get her children out of their carseats she jumps slightly when she hears the van explode then hears Horatio ask from behind her "what are you doing here!?!"  she turns to face him and replies with a smile "I thought it was obvious I was going to teach them how to surf!"  he chuckles with a smile then asks "aren't they a little young for that!?!"  she replies "who says!?!"  he laughs then grips the side of her hip, slides his arm around her waist, pulls her to him and kisses her lips "I was actually headed to the beach.... not this part mind you! but then I saw you in a unfamiliar vehicle and the fact that you didn't hear Caine bark at you from your right showed me how deeply concentrated you were on whatever task you had and now I see.... are you alright!?!"  she asks he smiles then replies "I'm fine!"  she sighs then says "I wish you could stay with us but I know the world needs you to be their hero again so.... would you like us to take you back to work!?"  he chuckles as his hand subconsciously slides up and down the side of her body making it quiver softly and says "I would love that!"  she looks into his eyes and whispers "Horatio!?!"  he leans down and kisses her lips then she rebuckles their children into their carseats and Caine climbs back into the vehicle Horatio shuts the back door then opens the passenger side door and she climbs in.... when it's the two of them he's always in the drivers seat so it was basically second nature to them to do it as they did.... then he walks over to the drivers seat climbs in and puts on his seatbelt he turns his head and looks at her his eyes wander up and down her body as he checks out her bikini and she smiles while rolling her eyes at him he chuckles as he starts the ignition then drives back to the Crime Lab and makes it there just in time to see the man who put the bomb in the car be arrested.... when Horatio got home after his shift he saw that the house was empty and became frantically worried and almost started to call for assistance in finding them until he saw a blank postcard on the kitchen island with a picture of a beach on it and he smiles for he now knew where they were and he drove to what he likes to call their "private" beach even though they don't own the property the only reason it's theirs is because they're always alone when they're there and just as he predicted his wife.... still in the same bikini as earlier.... his children and pup were there sitting by the edge of the shore letting their feet and paws get wet by the waves that crashed upon it "it's about time you made it!"  Zariah says when she hears him approach he chuckles then takes off his shoes and socks and sits down beside her then takes Timothy out of her arm and places him in his then he takes her now free hand in his and they sit their enjoying the silence that only got broken by their children's laughter everytime the water touched their toes which made Horatio smile Zariah carefully sets Deidra in his other arm then lays her head on his shoulder and closes her eyes he smiles then kisses the top of her head as she falls into a soft slumber....
