When Horatio finds out that his team is under investigation he warns Zariah to not come by the Crime Lab especially with Caine "well you're going to have to tell me where your Crime Scenes are that way I know not to walk by one with him at my side he HATES the leash!" she tells him he chuckles "can I at least bring you lunch and or dinner?! I can't just NOT see you all day!" she asks he chuckles with a smile and replies as he slides his knuckles over her cheek "I'd like that and neither could I!" she smiles then kisses his cheek and walks away.... Zariah ended up breaking her promise when a woman Horatio knew by the name of Rachel Turner ended up dead "I thought I told you....!" Horatio says softly when he sees her after he leaves the Morgue "you think a little investigation is going to stop me from coming around when you need me the most!?! I'm only 3 months pregnant and not waddling like a penguin yet so until that happens I'm not breaking "tradition"!" Zariah replies softly he chuckles "I'll be careful I promise!" she says softly as she gently grips his arm "besides I still have my badge and EVERYONE knows me here!" she adds he smiles "this wasn't your fault and I don't care what anyone thinks may have happened between us and with how our relationship has been the past few years it wouldn't be all that surprising!.... I know you didn't.... that you wouldn't do that especially to our little bun in the oven!.... you should have married me already Horatio Caine!" she tells him softly he chuckles then replies with a smile "I know!" she looks into his eyes and says softly "come on let me take you to lunch you can't be here for this one either!" he smiles as she takes his hand in hers then lets her lead him to wherever she wanted to go and while they were at lunch he gets a call from Frank and she drives him to the Miami Dade Police Department and sits in the Interrogation Room with him not letting go of his hand the whole time he was being interrogated "I'm not leaving you so don't ask or order me to!" she whispers as they wait for Frank who was taking his sweet time getting there he smiles and gently squeezes her hand when Frank enters the room he looks at them and shakes his head "what've you got?" Horatio asks as Frank sits down at his other side "they uh.... they found your blood in Rachel Turner's apartment Horatio" Frank replies "and right now I can't explain it" Horatio says squeezing Zariah's hand "no idea?" Frank asks "no" Horatio replies shaking his head Frank looks at Zariah who says "don't ask me! what I remember about the girl was that he met her during a Pretrial Hearing he chatted, she flirted I know she's been trying to contact him.... she's a attorney so I guess she has her ways of getting his number! but other than that I know as much as you do which is absolutely nothing oh and he was with me two nights ago and you last night so....!" Zariah replies "how do you know about the pretrial?" Frank asks "I was there with Caine.... he has a camera in his collar I'll give you the email address so you can watch it if you need to" she replies both men look at her "what!?! with how the pups like to sneak into Crime Scenes I figured it would be a good idea that way y'all can see the evidence from their point of view!" she tells them Horatio chuckles after a pause Frank asks "what about Yelina? she disappeared" Horatio asks "Frank, uh.... what are you asking me?" Frank replies "I just, uh.... I just want to know where she is" Zariah says "she has nothing to do with this case! though from what I understand she retired she needed some personal space far away from me and Miami as possible!" Frank chuckles "focus on what you need to focus on and don't deter from what you're supposed to do!" she says Frank nods "anything else!?" she asks Frank shakes his head Horatio and Zariah stand up and walk out of the room "I know I shouldn't have butted in!" Zariah says once they leave the building Horatio replies with a smile "it's ok" she looks down at her feet as they walk he cups her chin with his finger and lifts her head up so that she looks into his eyes as he repeats "it's ok!" he kisses her lips and they continue walking towards her vehicle....
