Horatio warned Zariah to be careful when she visited the Crime Lab when a SSA from the Secret Service's Financial Crime Division came to bug him and his team but she came by anyway "how do you think I met Zandra?!"  Zariah asks Horatio who looks at her oddly "I come by to check to see if who I'm looking for ended up here as often as I can so seeing me is somewhat normal even before I met you!"  she tells him he smiles "and just so you know Peter Rabbit don't scare me!"  she says he chuckles she kisses his cheek then walks away and he watches her leave with a smile on his face.... "what is it with you and explosions!?!"  Horatio hears a familiar teasing voice say from behind him a hour later he chuckles then turns to see Zariah smiling at him "Caine!?!"  she says with a curious tone then she walks around Horatio and into the warehouse where Caine bounded into like his tail was on fire or perhaps a army of bees were swarming after him and trying to sting his backside and Horatio follows her once they get inside they find Caine sniffing a pile of metal she snaps her fingers twice and Caine takes a step back and Horatio takes a step forward to see what caught the pups attention and he finds a black man lying under the rubble which he removes in a hurry then checks the mans pulse and finds out that he's still breathing Zariah rushes out of the building to let Fire Rescue know they had a live body inside.... Horatio takes Zariah and Caine with him to the man they had saved home so they could find clues to where his daughter may have been taken "we'll go around back"  Zariah tells Horatio softly once they get there he nods then watches as she and Caine head towards the backyard and as soon as the man Horatio had found inside who was holding a gun to the girls head reached the back sliding glass door Zariah raises then places her gun up against the mans temple and Caine growls his low warning growl that held a hint of danger within it "I believe he told you to let her go so unless you want to end with a bullet in your temple and a broken limb I would do as he says!"  she warns the man lets out a scoff like chuckle then falls down to the floor as Zariah pulls the trigger and Horatio walks over to the body and helps the frightened girl who fell with the man up Ryan who was behind Horatio walks over to Zariah and asks softly with a concerned tone "are you ok!?!"  she nods and hands him her gun which he takes then he gently grips her arm and says softly "come on!"  he leads her outside and has her sits her down on a black tiled block near the pool then sits down beside her in silence while Horatio comforts the frightened young lady while watching Ryan comfort the woman he (Horatio) loves as cautiously as he possibly could not touching her just being there for her when they both knew she'd need it Horatio chuckles when he hears Ryan say out of the blue "I'm surprised there was a bullet in it!"  and Zariah reply playfully with a shrug "who doesn't love a good game of Russian Roulette!?!"  Ryan's eyes widen then he checks her gun and find that there was indeed only one bullet in it.... the one that now lives within the mans temple.... and he laughs she shakes her head then teases "what a way to show faith in me Wolfie!"  Ryan chuckles then replies with a smile "sorry!"  she chuckles then pats his shoulder gently then looks over at Horatio and asks "what happens now!?! I've never had to use my gun before!"  Horatio replies "I'll take care of it"  she mutters softly "of course you will!"  Ryan chuckles and Horatio smiles.... that afternoon Zariah walks over to Horatio who was speaking with SSA Peter Elliot with Caine at her side just as he tells Elliot "put it this way: I can make things very difficult for you"  Horatio looks to his left as soon as he feels Zariah slide her hand in his and says "give me a minute"  she nods then kisses his cheek and lets go of his hand then walks over to Bart Jameson the man she and Horatio saved earlier that morning and talks the officer into taking his cuffs off "we're just going to stand here and chat aren't we Mr. Jameson?!"  she assures the officer Jameson nods the officer uncuffs him "thank you Brad"   she says the officer nods and Jameson pets the top of Caine's head as Horatio smiles at them and they hear Elliot call out "cut him loose"  Zariah smiles then teases "that was one of the shortest arrests of a black man that I've ever seen!.... no offense Mr. Jameson!"  Jameson chuckles then replies with a smile "none taken Miss Tempest!"  the officer looks at them oddly but says nothing as Jameson walks over to Horatio who lets him know he's free to go home Jameson thanks him then walks back to the police car and thanks Zariah before climbing inside and the officer gives him a ride home Zariah stood frozen in her spot unsure if Horatio wanted her to walk over to him or not and Horatio walks over to her and asks "you ready?!"  she nods then says "the Rabbit probably thinks I'm spoiled huh!?!"  he looks at her confused then laughs and says "he sure does!"  she smiles then takes his hand in hers and the three of them walk towards his vehicle and head to lunch.... after finding out that Clavo Cruz was not the General's son Horatio realized one major thing that Zariah never even attempted to date anyone else each time they were apart she had many chances and choices but she never did even when she wasn't wearing the ring he gave her "how can people tear their own world apart like that!?!.... all I want to do is fix mine!"  Zariah asks Horatio softly as they watch Clavo walk towards the prison bus he looks down at her and smiles softly then takes her hand in his and gives it a light squeeze "well at least he can no longer get away with murder"  she adds he chuckles she lets go of his hand when she notices Clavo look over at them and opens the folder in her free one like she was waiting for him to sign the papers within Horatio looks over at Clavo then down at Zariah and when he sees her looking down at the folder in her hand he chuckles as he takes the pen out of the hand he once held and places it next to the paper then gives it back to her as Clavo walks onto the bus Zariah keeps her head down so that Horatio doesn't answer his urge to kiss her just in case Clavo looks out the window at them and she turns to walk away closing the folder as she walks but Horatio stays until the bus drives away....
