Horatio was taking his latest case a little harder than one would expect him to then again it reminded him of the day he got married and how what happened to his latest victim could have happened to him luckily for him his wife loves him as much as he loves her and as soon as he called her on his way back to the Miami-Dade Police Department she got their kids ready and left to meet him there she makes it to the MDPD while he was interrogating the husband of the dead newlywed who had just said "I do" before being shot Zariah and their children couldn't stay long since he had to go back to work but he was still grateful that she came and as always listened and/or was just there and never said a word for sometimes that was all he needed "if you like we'll spend the day in your office all we need are our toys and bassinets" Zariah tells Horatio who chuckles with a smile then says "that won't be necessary!" she asks "are you sure!?!" he nods with a smile "some old memories truly do make us weak huh!?!" she asks he chuckles then kisses her lips and says "I'll see you at lunch" she nods then gets their children ready to go he gives them all a hug and watches them leave with a smile on his face then heads to the Crime Lab.... "you thinking we should have got one?!" Horatio asks Zariah when he sees her looking at the white Rolls Royce limo a few hours later "I prefer walking to driving whenever possible you know this!" she replies with a smile "I have got what appears to be a gun mount on this undercarriage looks to be an electronic trigger with some sort of wireless receiver" they hear Calleigh say Zariah smiles at Horatio then kisses his cheek before leaving the room so he could concentrate on what is important at this point in time his victim and finding out who killed her and why.... a few days later Julia returns to ruin Horatio's life but before that happens he tries to save hers for he found her print on a piece of duct tape that was used to bind Kathleen Newberry to her car which was found underwater in the Everglades "is everything okay!?!.... is Kyle alright!?!" Horatio hears Zariah ask softly with a worried tone as he walks out of the Interrogation Room where he left Julia sitting inside "he's fine" he replies looking into her eyes that were filled with concern for his son "what did she do now!?!" she asks he chuckles then says "I just want to see....!" he stops when he hears Timothy and Deidra call out excitedly "daddy!" and he turns to see them running towards him as fast as their little almost 2 years old feet would let them he smiles then kneels down holding out his arms ready to catch them when they "crash" into his chest as they always do Caine wasn't too far behind his "charges"/brother and sister and he stops and growls at the blonde woman with a smug look on her face that still sat in the Interrogation Room watching them with keen eyes "Caine hush!" Zariah whispers and Caine stops growling Horatio chuckles as he lifts his children up in his arms while he stands up then kisses his wife's lips "she knows you'll be her hero no matter what she does I wouldn't be surprised if she's counting on it!" Zariah says softly as she looks past her husband at the woman in the Interrogation Room "she thinks you still love her doesn't she!?" she asks Horatio looks at her "I've learned a lot about you throughout the years and I know when you still love someone!" she tells him he chuckles "you got time for lunch or do we have to wait out this storm!?" she asks he laughs then says "I have a few minutes" she wraps her arm around his waist and leads him away from the room as she says "good! I hired a food truck that got permission to park outside so you don't have to go very far" he chuckles and they walk outside where a already busy food truck waits and he smiles at the sight.... Julia was not happy at all that Horatio seemed happier than she is she still believes Horatio is in love with her and is jealous that he is showing that love to a "stranger" what was worse her son even seemed to love the beautifully tan skinned woman who in many ways may be even more beautiful than she is and the children she bore with the man she (Julia) is obsessed with and she planned on doing her best to ruin it all somehow.... when Horatio was being arrested by the Brazilian Federal Police Zariah was right by his side even though he tried to get her to leave she wouldn't budge "I've survived this long being by your side and if you think for one second Lieutenant that I am that easily gotten rid of your CSI know-how hasn't taught you enough and you need to go back to school!" she tells him with a slight tease in her tone when he walks over to her and their children after talking with Rick he chuckles "look I know we can't go to Brazil with you but we can at least walk with you to the front steps of THIS building!" she says he smiles then kisses her lips and whispers "fine!" then he wraps his arm around her waist and they walk towards the front door together Calleigh meets them halfway and walks with them with a smile on her face.... "Horatio I want you to know that we're going to be here for you, no matter what" Calleigh tells her boss and friend once they all reach outside "we need to stay focused on the Newberry case" Horatio replies "okay I just got a call on a possible lead I'm going to head there now we'll hold down the fort" Calleigh tells him "I appreciate that ma'am" Horatio replies with a nod Calleigh smiles at her two friends and gently squeezes Zariah's wrist before walking away a Brazilian officer walks over to Horatio at the same time that Rick does "you go voluntarily, you wave your right to fight extradition" Rick tells Horatio "it's not going to make a difference Rick" Horatio replies as he hands his badge and gun over to Rick "Horatio!" Zariah says softly as the Brazilian officers get closer to them Horatio looks at her then kisses her lips then their children's foreheads and whispers "everything is going to be okay" she replies with a smile "of course it is, it's you!" he smiles then lets one of the Brazilian officers cuff him which he starts to do until the U.S. Marshal says "that won't be necessary Lieutenant Caine, you ready?" Horatio replies "yes sir" the U.S. Marshal says as he turns and starts to walk towards his vehicle "let's go" Zariah looks at her children who sit in her arms and whispers as Horatio follows the US Marshal and the officers escort him to their destination "daddy's got to go help Marshal Greg (I named the U.S. Marshal after the man who played him who is named Greg Collins) with something he'll come back to us as soon as he can!" Horatio smiles when he hears his children say "bye bye daddy" he turns and waves his fingers at them keeping the soft sad smile on his face he wished he had the strength to say "see you soon" but he had no idea if and/or when he'd be coming back Zariah, Timothy and Deidra wave to Horatio till they could no longer see the black vehicle he left in Zariah was grateful she didn't bring Caine for he would have never allowed anyone to take Horatio from them and who knows where he'd be if he attacked to protect that man who's been his father since he was adopted by Zariah....
