When Natalia came up with the idea of her going undercover at a Psychic's Eric came up with a better one and asked Zariah to do it for them which Horatio wasn't happy about "I think he chose me because my scars are as physical as they are emotional and psychological, I've lived with mine longer than Boa lived with hers I can play off them better I'll be fine Ratio.... I got you looking out for me!"  Zariah says softly to her husband he watches as she plays with the golden jeweled caged heart charm that is around her neck moving it back and forth in-between her fingertips on the golden chain that holds it "it's got a mic in the center jewel I figured it would be easier than a earbud which is more noticeable if you're not careful"  she tells him then she takes a small piece of paper out of her pocket and hands it to him as she says "here's the radio frequency that will link you to it"  he takes it from her with a smile "I've got earrings that match if you want to be able to talk to me too"  she says he chuckles she smiles then says "I put them in your desk let me go put them on"  he nods she kisses his cheek then walks away he remembers the set she told him it belonged to her mother but he's never seen her wear it before it was a surprise to see her wearing it now she walks back over to him a few seconds later with the matching earrings in "they carry the same frequency as the necklace so you should be able to connect using the same way Benton made sure there was one made just for that purpose so it should work!"  she tells him he chuckles "you're also the only one who knows it so....!"  she adds he smiles "keep this safe for me!.... just in case she tries to look through my stuff"  she says softly as she hands him her family photo he takes it with a smile and puts it in his wallet with his then kisses her lips softly.... "so sorry to keep you waiting Mrs. Caliban"  Elena Manus says as she walks over to Zariah who is sitting at a table in Manus' home/office with a tray with tea on it "it's alright I'm just glad you could take me in on such short notice"  Zariah replies with false politeness with a small act of jitteriness all Zariah had to do was take herself back to a time before Horatio in her childhood and she could act the way she needed to without any issues "of course"  Manus says as she pours then hands Zariah a cup of tea "now I like to.... record my sessions-- for reference only if you don't mind?"  Manus says "not at all"  Zariah replies keeping her false polite tone "so you said on the phone you were having issues in your marriage"  Manus says Zariah lets out a short soft chuckle and replies as she rubs the scars on her arms gently and picks at a few as though they were still the way they were so many years ago "I'm not sure if that's the right word but sure we'll go with that!"  Manus smiles "I'm not sure I understand the egg thing though"  Zariah says with a slightly confused tone as she takes a egg out of her skirts pocket and continues "why you would want me to carry a egg around with me all day?! I felt like I was back in school doing the baby thing in health class!"  Manus chuckles then says "I know it seems kinda silly doesn't it? but you can understand an egg is a brand-new thing it's unpolluted and because of that it can draw in any corrupting influences from our energy fields so I asked you to hold it, keep it with you, so I can see what we're dealing with um, would you mind if I....?"  Zariah hands the egg to her as gently as possible acting as though she was afraid to break it "I have to ask-- are you the only one who has touched this?"  Manus asks holding the egg up "yes"  Zariah replies "I ask because if we find something inside, I need you to trust me can you do that?"  Manus asks Zariah nods Manus cracks the egg over a small glass bowl and opens it allowing the contents to fill the bowl and the yellow yoke seemed to be bleeding black as it flows into the bowl "what does that mean!?!"  Zariah asks curiously "that tells me someone is hurting you Tempest is it your husband?"  Manus replies "um...."  Zariah says nervously while rubbing her arms furiously as though she was trying to keep herself warm "it's ok I understand"  Manus says soothingly as she reaches over to touch her and Zariah stops rubbing her now red arms "I just want to be free of him!"  Zariah says softly Manus nods understandingly "I don't want him to hurt me anymore!"  Zariah says with a much lower tone "and he won't you will be free of him I promise you but I see in your aura there's a part of you that hasn't let go of him yet and you need to be able to do that in order to be free understand?"  Manus says Zariah nods "so...."  Manus says then she stands up and walks over to a dresser and picks up a candle then walks back over to where Zariah still sits and says as she sits back down "I'm just going to realign your aura...."  she sets the candle down on the coffee table that separates her from Zariah and continues "so that you will be able to take control of your life again alright?"  Zariah starts to play with the caged heart charm once more in a more nervous like fashion somehow she knew she may be in danger and not just because she didn't believe in the stuff this woman does but because she didn't trust the woman herself she watches Manus light the candle and smelled something odd in the flame as it lit the wick "I just need you to lean forward and breathe"  Manus says Zariah leans forward and pretends to breathe in from her nose as Manus says "that's great just breathe and after this your husband will never be able to hurt you again"  Manus pays extra close attention to the hand that Zariah is using to play with her necklace but what she doesn't know is that when Zariah stops moving it Horatio gets a warning telling him she is in danger "close your eyes, good"  Manus says as she watches the flame flicker thinking it was coming from Zariah's nose when it was actually coming from her mouth "red will become blue blue will become yellow yellow will become green"  Manus says over and over again until Zariah finally stops playing with her necklace and lets it drop back onto her skin as she lets her body relax even though she wasn't relaxed at all as a matter of fact the woman across from her made her very nervous Zariah feels Manus grab her arm and lets the woman pull her out of her office/home.... a few minutes and a short car ride later Zariah hears Manus say "open your eyes"  and she does she looks around and finds herself alone in a unfamiliar warehouse and starts walking around whispering with a slightly frightened tone "Ratio!.... Ratio where are you!?!"  and she hears Horatio reply in her ear even though she knew he wasn't there yet "I'm on my way!"  the only problem is she wasn't sure it was coming from the mic in her earring or from her memories since he said that every time she called and needed him a minute or so later Zariah spins around gun drawn when she hears Horatio call out her name the only reason she drew her weapon was because she heard his voice echo throughout the empty building and it made it seem like it wasn't real like it all was a dream or perhaps wishful thinking then she finally saw him and she sighs with relief as she turns the safety back on then drops the gun and rushes towards him hugging him tightly to her making sure he wasn't an illusion and she knew he was real when she felt him hug her back "the candle smelled odd I tried not to breath it in when she lit the wick but I wasn't sure it worked.... you are real right!?! I'm not hugging a post am I!?!"  she whispers into his chest he chuckles softly with a smile then whispers as he kisses the top of her head "I'm real! I'm here! I love you more than words can say, actions can speak and life itself"  she whispers "I don't trust her!"  he hugs her just a little tighter "I want....!"  she whispers softly "I know let's go!"  he whispers back she nods then lets him lead her to his Hummer and help her climb inside then buckle her in then he takes her to see their children and Ryan drives the borrowed car back to the impound lot.... "I hope you know that it isn't true!"  Zariah says softly as Horatio drives her back home "hmm!?!"  he hums "I don't want to be free of you I want to be free of them! of their memories and the pain they brought me! the pain that will always stay with me even though I don't physically feel it anymore!"  she says softly he slides his hand over her thigh and replies softly "I know!"....
