Zariah sits within the Holy Redeemer Church as Horatio chats with Cardinal Benedetti in the confessional and her mind went back to a conversation she had with Horatio after he reunited his crush with her husband who just so happens to be his brother "she wanted me to thank you"  he tells her "oh I doubt that! she just wanted to look good in your eyes one last time! after all you don't hate someone for no apparent reason for over 3 years then all of the sudden become bosom buddies!"  she replies he chuckles after a small pause she asks "will there ever be a "right time" for us Horatio!?!"  he asks with a confused expression on his face "what do you mean!?!"  she replies "it's going to be weird now after all weddings are meant for family right!?! and to not have you brother and nephew there just doesn't seem right!"  he chuckles softly as she continues "I'm not a religious person nor am I one to blame God for all the problems in my life besides Christianity has one too many ways of claiming they know how it goes just because they read some book!.... hell I have no idea how this conversation turned to religion!"  he chuckles she smiles then kisses his lips then whispers softly "lets not talk about this anymore!"  he smiles then replies as he wraps his arms around her waist "I agree!"  then his lips meet hers and he makes love to her on their bed and they fall asleep in one anothers arms a few minutes later after they were satisfyingly spent.... Caine who is sitting by Zariah's side in the church starts to whine when he hears rapid gunfire go off nearby "Horatio!"  Zariah calls out and Horatio walks out of the confessional and says to Zariah "stay here!"  she replies "you know that won't work with him!"  he smirks then says "Caine watch!"  Caine whines but listens to Horatio's order as the tall redheaded man with blue eyes rushes out of the church to see if he could pinpoint where the shots were coming from Zariah looks at the Cardinal who nods at her but says nothing and she sits back down then waits for the gunfire to end before heading out of the church herself with her German Shepard at her heels "hmm appropriate but possibly not helpful!"  she whispers once she feels the soft rain start to pour over her and Caine and they jog over to the cemetery to find Horatio.... "I thought I told you to stay at the church!"  Horatio says once he sees Zariah and Caine jog over to him "we stayed until the gunfire died down.... if you think I was going to stay in that empty building with a stranger!.... I don't care how safe they claim those buildings are I was not about to....!"  she replies she stops when she hears him chuckle.... Horatio becomes worried about the woman he loves when he finds out that his victim was a member of the Miami's version of the Mafia known as the Mala Noche.... Caine growls at a blonde reporter who was trying to get her and her team through the yellow tape "hey Wolfie your girlfriend's here!"  Zariah calls out as Ryan looks up and sees Caine scare Erica Sykes who tries to kick Caine then ends up with a gun pressed up against her temple "you touch my dog and you'll end up a part of the Crime Scene!"  Zariah growls dangerously from the other end of the gun "I'll handle her"  Ryan says with a smile as he walks over to them "yeah cause you did such a good job the last few times she slipped her way into a scene like the leech she is!"  Zariah replies without lowering her gun "and just so you know it's fully loaded this time"  Zariah adds and the blonde reporters eyes widen "Tempest!"  Ryan says "she was about to kick Caine you think I'm going to allow that!?!"  Zariah asks Ryan's eyes widen then he replies softly "no"  he looks at Erica and says "walk away now!.... she has two other dogs just as protective as this one and if you don't want to meet them I suggest you finally do as your told!"  Erica and her team leave the scene "I'm going to owe her now you know?!"  Ryan asks Zariah as he watches the reporter and her team leave "you owe her nothing Ry! you do however owe your victim whatever small bouts of attention you have left so you can find his killer!"  she replies he smiles "though I do worry about how Horatio's going to act when she files assaults charges against me"  she tells him he laughs "get back to work you!"  she says playfully with a smile "yes ma'am!"  he replies "even AJ's smarter than that Ryan and he's a southern man!"  she says he chuckles then walks away "she's going to get herself killed one of these days!"  she whispers to herself and Ryan's smile disappears.... "you're in a lot of trouble!"  Zariah hears Horatio say from behind her "boy Lois Lane works fast!"  she replies as she turns to face him he looks at her confused "I may have held a gun to Erica's head when she went to kick Caine who was trying to stop her and her crew from passing through the yellow tape"  she tells him he raises an eyebrow at her "if you're going to take me home I suggest you do it in a vehicle that doesn't have MDPD markings all over it!"  she says he chuckles then realizes she's right having her ride in the Hummer would put a target on her back especially if she was seen with him or any other member of his team and he didn't want that and neither would they "alright just give me a minute"  he says she nods then walks away so he could go back to work and quite possibly find a unmarked vehicle to take her home in.... under Zariah's suggestion Horatio takes Caine with him to the Livingston House with him "for my peace of mind and to save Lois Lane from his wrath!"  she told him softly which made him chuckle with a smile then he kissed the top of her head and walked away taking Caine with him now Caine was riding in the ambulance with a woman who was found beaten and lying frightened on the floor within the house and the fact that Caine was with her helped her with her peace of mind for she felt strangely safe with the lovable pup....
