"Out of all the people..." They grumbled under their breath, narrowing their eyes at the hashira in front of them as the kakushis watched the interaction from the sidelines.

The young kakushi was in awe for a second as they managed to see the kitsune in person and paid close attention to details before remembering what they had to say.

"[Y/N]-sama! You will be living with the Stone Hashira in the meantime!" One of the kakushis had the courage to report as they snap their head towards the kakushi's direction.

All of them stiffing up before slowly backing away. "Why the hell did Kagaya pair me up with you?"

"He is one of the strongest out of all the hashiras, [Y/N]," The raven-haired male said with a calm tone as they scoff and crossed their arms. "He'll be with you to make sure you don't cause a scene."

"But how does all this..." They began.

"...help me?"

"It's more to contain you than to help you," He said as they sighed. "Don't get things mixed up."

"But in the meantime, you'll be training with-"

"Training?" They interrupted, slowly looking towards the blinded male as they twitched a brow. "What the hell do you mean, training?"

He simply smiled in turn, still unmoving, causing them to grow even more pissed at the male before saying through gritted teeth, "You're damn lucky i'm not in the mood to throw someone into the afterlife right now."

---

"Now when, how and why are you going to train me?" They asked, walking in front of the male with crossed arms as they passed by this giant waterfall in the side.

"It's to see whether you need it or not. Oyakata-sama wishes to see you grow stronger, but in order for us to do that, we need to be able to catch your flaws and weaknesses," He said in response as he continued to rub the red beaded necklace that he held in his hand.

They mumbled incoherent things underneath their breath before particular phrase seemed to have come out louder than the others.

"See whether I need it or not," They mocked. "What's the point, you can't even see anyways." Kicking a rock as they gripped onto the blade that hung by their waist.

"I am very much aware of my condition [Y/N]-san, but that doesn't make me more or less different than my peers."

They merely looked at him at the corner of their eyes before continuing forward, suddenly silenced by the reply he gave them in response.

Immediately after, metal came into contact with metal and sparks flew through the air. "This is not the proper way to ask for a fight." The tall male said, tears streaming down his cheeks as he managed to block it with the chain of his weapon.

"Proper?" They echoed, as they tried pushing the blade into the chain of his weapon even harder. "Do you really think demons would ask for a proper fight when it comes down to it?"

Retracting before they saw him turn his body towards them and go into a proper stance with both feet on the ground and facing towards them, managing to bring out the rest of his weapon.

A flail and an axe connected by a metal chain. Much like a kusarigama but one holds onto a giant, spiked metal ball.

"But i'm not a demon," Came his reply as they clicked her tongue and retracted their hand. "Even during battle, we pay respect to the opponents we are competing with," He said before grabbing onto their hand.

Their eyes widened in surprise as they could feel his strong grip on their hand, where they held the hilt of their katana. "Demons, however ..." He trailed off before suddenly lifting their body up to come eye-level with the man.

"...are a much different story."

Their bright purple eyes glowed dangerously as it came into contact with his own milky ones that held other intentions.

They hung in the air as they could feel the pressure begin to circulate into their arm. Their tails limp, not bothering to move as their ears stayed hidden in their [H/C]-colored hair.

The two stared at each for a while, silence hung around them, just awaiting to be broken by a single word.

They sighed.

"Why the hell am I having a staring contest with a blind man?"

The silence soon became a bit awkward, just feeling the pressure from their arm soon travel across their body.

But this time, the pressure didn't come from physical pain.

"We'll first be working on your respect and self-discipline for others and yourself."

---

"You will be staying here for the time being," The male exclaimed as they arrived at an extremely enormous, large house. An estate, rather.

They whistled, simply following behind his footsteps as they swung their sword with just a flick of the wrist.

Throwing it in the air, just about to catch it by it's handle before it stopped midpoint. "What the hell," They muttered, seeing the large man grab ahold of its blade with his hand before breaking it.

"What the hell?!" They shouted as they see the blade come apart in two, probably a lot more, pieces and land on the ground with a thud. "What'd you do that for?!"

"In the meantime, you will also be prohibited from using any sort of weapon during training unless permitted to do so," He stated before continuing to walk towards the estate.

They clicked their tongue and stomped towards his direction. "I'll just find a new blade then," they muttered underneath their breath only to look forward and see him shake his head.

"That too?"

"Scavenging for any weapons will be close to impossible since you'll be isolated from the rest of the corps, for the safety of the young ones who had just started slaying demons."

They groaned in frustration before kicking a rock in his direction, to which he easily dodged by leaning his head to the side. "So cautious to the point you'd isolate me like this."

They muttered before tucking their tails underneath their clothing.

Raising their arm as they stared at it for a while. "I don't need weapons any-"

"I suspect you are able to manipulate the blood within your body and form objects similar to katanas or any other weapon for that matter," They froze.

They don't remember telling him anything. How in the world did he know?

However, as he only continued to walk, they did the same, with slower and more cautious movements despite the fact that her blade had just been shattered.

"How are you so sure about that claim?" They tested, staring at him from the corner of their eyes as he gave a small gentle smile.

"I'm not saying it as if it is a fact. I'm saying it as a possibility. Your blood could either have a substance within it that is able to solidify things to become as hard and sharp as blades, or it could simply be the fact that your kind is similar to theirs," They raised a brow.

Theirs? What did he mean theirs?

"Elaborate," They said.

He looked at them, his smile dropping as continuous tears continued to flow down his cheeks.

"Demons."
