Now I have to check my bank account to see how much money I have saved up. I don't have a job right now but I did have a part-time job for my first and second year of college and I saved some money up back then. But I had to leave my job in my third year of college because I got busier with school work.

-------------------------------------------------------------

It turns out I have $600 saved up. And I checked online and a one way plane ticket from LAX to ICN costs $511. So I have enough for the plane ticket but I will still need some money for living expenses until I get a job...I guess that means I'll have to ask my parents to let me borrow some money. They have always told me that if I were to go to Korea they will pay for my living expenses till I got a job. But they already paid for all the four years of my college education and I would feel bad to ask them to spend more money on me. So I will ask to borrow money and I'll start paying them back once I get a job in Korea.

-------------------------------------------------------------

I put on my pink slippers and went out my room. I went around the house looking for my mom and I found her at the backyard watering the plants. "Ma. Les tengo que decir algo a ti y a mi pa. Podemos ir al comedor a hablar?" ("Mom I need to tell something to you and dad. Can we talk in the dining room?") "Okay. Ya voy al comedor. Tu busca a tu papa y dile que venga." (Okay, I'll go to the dining room. Go look for your dad and tell him to come.") I went around the house looking for my dad  and found him washing the car outside. He was just done rinsing it. "Pa. (Dad. I have to tell something to you and mom. Mom is already in the dining room and she is waiting for us.") "Okay. Vamos al comedor." (Okay. Lets go to the dining room.") Once we got to the dining room there were three cups of coffee on the table that mom had made. I sat down, cleared my throat, and started speaking. ("As you both already know I have been looking for a job ever since I graduated from college. And it has already been 9 months and I haven't been able to find a job. So I would like to go to Korea and look for a job there. I have enough money saved up for the plane tickets. And my friend CL said I can stay with her. But I will need money for living expenses. So I would like to ask you both to let me borrow some money, please. Once I have a job I will send you a payment each month.") ("But I have already told you that whenever you wanted to go to Korea we can give you the money. It is not necessary to pay us back. You know we have money and we can give you some. Our money is yours.") I shook my head and spoke up, "Pero ustedes ya gastaron mucho dinero en mi educacion. (But you've both already spent so much money on my education. And I have lived with you till this age of 22. I don't want you two to spend more money on me. You both are almost in your 60's and you need to save money for yourselves. I am already old enough to be responsible for myself. So if you two don't want to let me borrow the money then I won't go, because I will not take that money for free.") My mom sighed and spoke, "Mi hija ya a crecido. Cuanto quieres?" ("My daughter is all grown up now. We still see you as a child and want to take care of you. But even if it hurts us we have to let you go because that is what you want. And we will always support your decisions. So we will let you borrow the money. How much do you want?") ("I think $3,000 should be enough. $1,000 per month. And I think I can get a job in three months.") My dad spoke up, "Bueno pues. Pero si necesitas mas dinero nos dices. Y nos tienes que llamar seguido." ("Alright then. But if you need more money tell us. And you have to call us often.") "Okay. Gracias. Los quiero." ("Okay. Thank you. I love you both.") I give them both kisses on the cheek and leave the room. Now I have to call CL and tell her the good news!
