Chapter 39: Couple Clothes & Carnival Date

Taehyun froze and stared at us. WINNER was behind him. "Whats wrong Taehyun?" I heard Seungyoon asked. The guys looked inside and saw me with me Donghyuk. Donghyuk quickly pulled away. "What were you guys doing just now?" Seungyoon looked suspiciously at us. "Nothing." I said and quickly left. Donghyuk followed. Taehyun just gave me a cold stare as I passed by him, it gave me chills. He has changed so much since the first time I met him. Well I just hope someday Taehyun will forgive me and find a nice girl that can love him back. "Abby wait." Donghyuk grabbed my wrist as I was exiting the building. I turned around. "What is it?" "Here. Put on my sunglasses. That way if theres paparazzi again your eyes won't hurt with the flashes." He took out his sunglasses and put them on me. "Thanks. But your not gonna put anything on? Sunglasses? A mask? A hoodie?" "Nah. I'm fine. I'm used to all the attention. You'll probably get used to it too." He grabbed my hand and we walked out. And out on the sidewalks there were still some paparazzi from earlier today. But at least there weren't as many. Before I had counted about 20 but now its about half. As we walked further from the YG building I saw some fans. They followed us and took videos. Donghyuk told them that if they gave us some space he will give them an autograph. The fans agreed and he took out a marker and started signing their belongings. Once he was done with the autographs the fans left us alone. Paparazzi were still following us though but at least with the fans gone there were less eyes on us. I really didn't feel comfortable with people watching my every move. But since I'm soon to be an idol, I'll just have to get used to it. This is part of my life now. We walked for about 20 minutes till we arrived at a boutique. We went in and paparazzi followed. I felt like I was in a reality show or something. Luckily Donghyuk went up to a sales clerk and told her our situation. The sales clerk called for back up and a guy in his 30's came out. Within a few minutes he was able to get the paparazzi out. But that still didn't stop them from taking photos. Since the boutique was all windows the paparazzi were able to take photos from outside. It was still better than them being in here though. The sales clerk asked us if we were looking for anything in particular. I told her I was looking for some sweatpants and sneakers. She said the boutique didn't sell sweatpants but she showed us to the shoes section. "I want to get couple sneakers. Can you show us some?" Donghyuk asked the sales clerk. "What sizes?" She asked. "For her size 6 and for me size 9". The sales clerk looked around and took out some couple sneakers to show us. "How do you know my size?" I turned to Donghyuk. "While you were having your evaluation I went back and got your sandal." "Oh. Well thank you. " "Anything for my girl." He winked. "So which shoes should we get?" I asked while looking at the sneakers. "Whichever you like. You pick." There were 5 pairs but I couldn't decide between two of them. One pair were Black Nike's and the other pair were Red Converse." "Which of these two do you like more? I can't decide." I showed the two pairs I liked to Donghyuk. He took a look at them. "I can't decide either so lets just get both." "But I don't have enough money for all four. May I remind you that I just lost my job and that I'm now a trainee on a budget." "Thats only temporary. The only time we'll be tight on budget is as trainees but later when we debut YG will be buying all our clothes. So don't worry. But just for today YG decided to let me use his credit card so lets take advantage of it. Neither one of us is paying, this is all on YG." "Are you sure we can spend this much?" "I'm positive. We could even buy this whole store if you want. This card is no limit." "Well okay. Just the two pairs for me and two pairs for you but no more." "How bout eating and going on a date? YG said he'll pay for our first date." "And why is he doing all this?" "He wants us to get closer. He saids we could become a power couple in the industry and that would be something good for YG. So he really wishes things will work out for us." "Well I'm not really sure if things will work out for us. But I'll give it a try." "Okay. Good. Lets have our first date now." "Now? But I'm not even dressed up to go on a date." "You look fine." "Okay. But it has to be a place where its okay to be dressed like I am. So it can't be some fancy place." "K. How bout the carnival?" "The carnival sounds like fun. But isn't it too public of a place?" "Thats what YG wants. He wants us to be seen in public. He wants there to be talk about us. He saids its a good way to get our names out there." "Fine. Lets pay and go." Donghyuk took the shoes and we went to the cash register. "Your total is $320,000 (Won). And you get one free tshirt for every two pairs of shoes you buy." The cashier said. "Cool. So we get two free tshirts?" Donghyuk asked. "Yup. We have Yellow, Blue, Red. What colors would you like?" "Two red please. Size XS for her and M for me." The cashier took out the tshirts and handed them to us. "Thank you." We both said. Donghyuk swiped the credit card and took the shoes. "How about a couple look for our first date? We'll both wear our tshirts with the Red Converse." Donghyuk said as he started taking off his shoes. "Sure. That way I can return Dara her sneakers. I wouldn't want to wear them out." I took off the sneakers I was wearing and put on the Converse. "Now where should we change shirts?" I looked around but there were no fitting rooms. "I got no problem with that. I can change here." Donghyuk said as he took his shirt off and changed into the new one. "Well your a guy. You can change anywhere. But what about me?" "You can just wear it over what you have." "Good idea." I put on the tshirt over my tank top. "Okay. Now we're ready. I'll just call for a van so they can take our stuff and give us a ride to the carnival." Donghyuk took out his cellphone and dialed his manager. After talking for a minute he hanged up. "A van will get here in a few minutes." He said. We waited for about ten minutes till we saw a black van pull over outside. As we went outside to get in the van the paparazzi took photos of us and some even got in taxis to follow us. The driver started the engine and off to the freeway we went. Took us about 30 minutes to get to thr carnival. As we got off the van, paparazzi were getting off taxis. They followed us wherever we went and that got people's attention. Some fans even came up to us. Donghyuk gave out some autographs and I just smiled. A few fans were giving me nasty looks but I just ignored them. Finally after a half hour of being surrounded by fans things started to calm down. We were finally left alone in exception of the paparazzi, about 5 of them were following us. But at least now without the fans we had a chance to do stuff. We played a few games. Donghyuk even won me a giant pig bunny like the one in You're Beautiful. Then we bought some cotton candy and shared it. And there was a big ferris wheel and Donghyuk thought it would be a good chance for privacy so we got in it. I'm sorta scared of ferris wheels though so I hugged my pig bunny as we were on it. Donghyuk noticed my nervousness and got closer to me. "You scared of heights?" He asked as he took my hand. "A bit." "Then you can hug me instead of the pig bunny." He took the pig bunny away and hugged me. I hugged him back. And we hugged the whole time. The ride lasted about 10-15 minutes. Most of the time we were silent but it was a comfortable silence. And I was starting to feel like I was getting closer to Donghyuk. I'm just not sure if its just a friendship type of closer or something else...
