No POV

Jacob hated having to wait to see Storm. But there wasn't much he could do. Otherwise, he might risk hurting himself. That, and Sarah wouldn't let him leave unless the pack doctor said he could.

Which took a while actually. By then, Sarah wanted to know what Jacob meant by something weird had happened while he was fighting the rouge. "I don't even understand what happened. Sapphire was there." Jacob tried explaining again. None of the others seemed to understand very much either.

"Jake, Sapphire couldn't have been there. For one, Storm has no memories of us. Of shifters. She can't shift. And two, Storm wasn't even there. You said so yourself. She had disappeared." Sarah explained with a sigh. Jacob half growled. "I know what I saw. Sapphire was there, even Harry said it was her. But she was surrounded by some kind of mist. It moved with her, like she couldn't leave it." He said.

Eventually, Jacob was allowed to leave. One of the first things he did was look for which room Storm had been put in. It didn't take too long, since her scent had gotten stronger the more she remembered. Now it was somewhat like how it used to be. Where she could almost be confused for a half-blooded wolf.

Jacob felt his heart drop seeing his mate in a hospital bed again. She wasn't hooked up to an IV at least. The monitor next to the bed showing her heart rate was a little above normal, based on her previous records.

Jacob's POV

I found a chair, moving it to sit next to Storm's bed. If we weren't in a hospital, I would probably say it looked like she was sleeping. But she wasn't sleeping in that sense. I whined softly. "How did you bring Sapphire back without shifting?" I muttered.

There was no response, obviously. But this didn't make any sense. If Storm's connection to Sapphire had been completely severed: Sapphire should have started fading away by now. Yet, she had seemed strong. Strong enough that rouge was scared of her. Enough that she hadn't faded away. She'd gotten stronger.

But if Storm didn't shift, how was Sapphire there? None of this was making very much sense at all. I knew Sarah would make me leave if I didn't get something to eat otherwise, so I pretty much had to.

Time skip (Is it obvious I lost where I was going with this?)

Storm's POV

I didn't really know what was going on at first. I watched the black and white wolf help Jacob. But then everything disappeared. Why hadn't she changed back to help him? Who even was this... Wolf to begin with? How did people literally turn into wolves!?

It seemed almost impossible. Just turning into a wolf whenever you felt like it? To be honest, it sounded kind of cool. But why would they keep something like that from me? Even if I lost my memories, I should have been told. But I was back in that forest with the silver river.

I felt like I should stay away from the silver water. It had an ominous feeling to it. Like the water, wasn't really water. The black and white wolf was with me again. Why didn't she change back? It seemed like everyone was able to... Shift... Between their human and wolf forms. So why was she different?

Actually... Was I different too? Was that the reason the others didn't want to tell me about the fact they turn into wolves? Was there something wrong with me? There were so many questions I wished I could ask someone. Someone who could give me answers and not act like I was just the girl who lost her memory.

There was something else. Something that I was just missing. Was everyone these... Wolf shifters? Or was it just the people I'd met so far? Even the few little kids I'd seen here had little wolf pups following them. Though it didn't seem like the two were completely connected yet. Like there was a limit or age requirement.

The black and white wolf stood up after a moment or two. Walking into the bushes. Where was she going? I got up to follow where they were going. She didn't seem to notice I followed, that, or she had wanted me to follow her. We went deeper into the forest.

It got dark, but I was still able to see somehow. I know it got darker, but my vision never got darker. We ended up in a different place almost entirely. The forest went from looking normal: to having a fairly tail feel to it. The trees looked beautiful, but not like regular trees.

I can tell you have many questions. A voice said from somewhere. I looked around. The wolf had paused when I did. "Who said that?" I asked after a moment. Not to worry, young one. All will be revealed soon. You just have to trust in yourself, and in your instincts. The same voice told me. Instincts?

What did they mean by that? "Who are you? W-where are you?" I asked. There wasn't anyone else here besides the wolf and me. There was a... Odd presence though. But it didn't feel dangerous. It was... More gentle. Those that do not understand will try and take those who do. One whose heart is stone will draw from others fear as you draw their hope. Remember who your are. The voice just said vaguely.

Remember? That's what I'd been trying to do this whole time. Some beheaded voice wasn't going to help me remember by saying I had to, unless they had a way to help me remember. I glanced back to the black and white wolf. She hadn't really moved. But she seemed calm.

I half reached a hand up to her slowly. The wolf didn't seem to flinch away as I had expected her to. Instead, she let me place my hand on her forehead lightly. A white light flashing.

Jake's POV

The monitor connected to Storm just suddenly started going crazy beeping. I stood up, going to her side. "Someone get in here!" I growled towards the door. Turning back to Storm, I tried holding her hand. "Hey, you're gonna be fine. Don't you dare think about leaving me." I said to her softly even if I was freaking out.
