No POVThe Mist pack had started going to find Jacob so they could look for their missing friend. Though the male wasn't anywhere to be seen.
Jacob was close to a border, in his wolf form, though he wasn't too sure what pack border he was close to. Though he kept trying to follow a scent. It was familiar, though he wasn't too sure if it was Storm or not.
A breeze blew gently. It brought a scent that made Jacob pause. He growled lowly. This was the scent of a rouge. One jumped out as nearly as soon as the growl echoed past Jake's muzzle.
(I totally forgot this was supposed to be a month later and I have zero idea what to write to do that- so just pretend it's been a month T-T )
The camp for the Mist Pack was close enough the growls reached the camp as they grew louder. Sarah growled lowly. "That's definitely not good. Eva, Sam, get the warriors ready for anything. Cam, Hannah, come with me and we'll go find Jacob." She stated quickly.
They shifted, following the growls and sound of a fight. Where Jacob was keeping a rouge at bay. He was keeping his ground fairly well.
Sarah growled lowly, jumping over to help Jacob. The rouge jumped back, retreating now that there were more wolves defending the area.
Jacob sighed, growling softly. I was fine, but thanks for showing up. He thought. Sarah huffed. Her ears folding back.
That was risky Jake. We need to have pairs, alright? You go north with me. Sam and Eva, you guys go South. Check the lake again as well. Cam, Hannah, you guys go East. We'll keep in touch and then we'll check West. She explained.
Jacob growled lowly hearing where they would be going. The rouges may attack after the first one tells them. He thought.
Sarah nodded. The Warriors of the Mist Pack are already aware of the risk. We just need to find Storm. She told him.
The pairs went off in their assigned directions. Sarah and Jacob continued. Noticing it was the same direction that the rouge had gone.
The pair kept alert. Jake, we should stay close to the camp. The Blood Moon Pack border is close. We can not risk being the reason for an attack. That rouge very well could have been one of the Alpha's allies. She warned.
The pair looked around for a while longer before something caught their attention. A growl echoed before a pair of rouges jumped out.
Jacob growled, his ears folding back, Sarah mirrored the stance. They backed up a bit, but bared their teeth. We should head to the camp. This doesn't sit right. Sarah warned.
Jacob nodded. It's too soon after that first rouge appeared. He agreed. As soon as they got back to the camp, growls stared coming into range.
Jacob's POV
Sarah was right. This was a trick of some kind. The camp was under attack! Sarah and I turned from the pair of rouges and ran back to the Mist Pack camp.
The rouges followed quickly of course. Growls echoed to our ears. Guys, what happened? Sarah called out. I lunged at a rouge attacking another wolf.
There was a yelp, though it cut off quickly. There were rouges all over the camp. The rest of the Mist Pack was scattered around trying to help the other warriors.
Another growl nearby caught my attention quickly. It was right before a weight pushed me to the ground. A growl in my ear.
So you're the mate of the mixed coated wolf. Wherever did she get to, then? Her scent is pretty stale. A voice asked.
The voice was familiar. I growled, flipping over to throw the wolf off and stand up. This was the wolf Storm had gotten into a fight with in the forest soon after she met her family.
The wolf had a brown coat that was greying. The scents on the air already had blood from surrounding fights. But this wolf had blood as part of their scent.
This was the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack. This was Alpha Johan. I growled harshly. You're behind this, aren't you?! I snarled, baring my teeth.
The Alpha barked a laugh. Oh, if I was, you wouldn't know about it yet. He answered. It took only a moment for me to lunge hearing that.
I didn't believe him either. He had to be behind this. So, we started our own fight. It was rough.
This Alpha was a good fighter. He managed to get to me more than I was getting to him. Nobody could really come help, the rouges were keeping everyone else busy.
It went on for a while. I'd managed to injure him, though I'd gotten plenty in return. The snow was splattered with red. The blood scent was very strong.
I got knocked over again, feeling his teeth dig into my side. Though the weight vanished before they went too deep.
A mist rolled in. A familiar growl arose. Though something stepped into view. Well, someone did. I whined seeing the person. Storm?
Her form was different, but still familiar. It was like when Sapphire appeared in the mist. Her form was covered in the mist.
"Hey Jake... think it's time for you to step back for this one." Storm said softly. Her smile was soft.
How was she here? Her scent wasn't even there. How are you here? What... what happened? I asked. The growls got closer once more.
Storm looked over, causing me to as well. What was there surprised me. There was a wolf fighting Alpha Johan. They had a black and white coat.
It was Sapphire. But... Storm was right next to me. The mist... Sapphire had moved in the mist, and now Storm was in the mist.
Storm seemed to whine softly. "Jake, you should help the others... we'll take care of this guy." She told me. Wait... she said we.
Storm knew who Sapphire was. The Mist shifted, moving Storm's form with it. She seemed to move closer to the fight before vanishing.
