Jacobs POV

It was like I floated in a river, if a river was pitch black and not at all wet. I could not move and it was like I was blind, all I saw was the pitch black darkness. Time could be racing by or moving at a snails pace, I would have no way to tell. The only signs of time passing were voices that were so muffled that I couldn't even understand what was being said.

Days or months could have passed. It wasn't until a very small light appeared in the black above me that something clicked. I'm not dead. The light grew brighter. Soon I could actually feel my arms and legs. I could finally make out a few words that were being said. "I'm not sure... not waking... What about... ok, so... could you try?" The words faded in and out. None of them made sense. I felt someone, something close. Hey, you good man? Harry said. My reply came easy. Yea, at least I think so. What happened? I thought back.

I'm not so sure either. The last thing I remembered was that white wolf coming. I growled internally. The voices stopped. I opened my eyes slightly, only to close them again. A bright light was right in my face. "Hey, look who woke up." A unfamiliar voice said. I opened my eyes again, trying to lift myself up.

I managed to steady myself. Looking around, I saw that I was in some kind of tent. "How you feeling? Does anything hurt still." The same voice said. I looked around to see a woman standing next to me. Her hair was brown, her eyes were blue.

Her skin matched someone else's, but I couldn't place who's. I nodded once, unsurely. "Thats good. Could you stand Jacob?" She sounded very familiar but not at the same time. I looked around a but more so see I was on the ground, on top of a thick sleeping bag. I started to stand, slowly but surely.

When I was completely stood up, I realized that my clothes were changed. "Don't worry about your clothes by the way. They were so torn up that they had to be thrown out. Luckily, your the same size as my son." I could place the voice now. It was Luna Katara. It took a second to figure out how I knew that. Storm. Where she she? I thought to myself.

Harry growled a short reply. Not sure but I don't think she doing much better than we are. I talked to her wolf. She's not doing so good. I had almost forgotten. Mates wolfs could talk to a each other without the actual person knowing. Harry must have gotten in touch with Sapphire while I was blacked out.

I took a few steps forward. I could feel a bandage around my waist. Someone else came into the very small tent. From how he looked, I could tell they were a doctor. "Hello Jacob. My name is Tyler. I'm the Moon Packs normal doctor. I was hoping that I could see how you've healed." The voice was kind but worried.

I took a step forward. "I'm feel fine. Where am I?" I said as calmly as I could. "Don't worry, your safe. Your at our makeshift pack hospital." The doctor sounded concerned. Luna Katara stepped in front of me. "What is the last thing you remember?" She said. I thought for a second. I said one word. "Dying." I said.

Harry whined slightly. Sapphire just told me that Storms going to sneak out. She wants to find us. You can't let her. She's going to try to jump out of the bathroom window. If she does that, she'll get hurt even more. I tried to calm him down. Tell Sapphire to try and stall her. Ill try to get us there as soon as I can. Harry yelped a small "ok." I turned to the Luna and the doctor. I took a few steps.

I was out of the tent before I was stopped. "Jacob where do you think your going?" A hard voice said from my right. I turned to see...my dad? I stood there. "Dad?" I said. He smiled. "Come here." He said. There was no command but I walked closer. "Where were you just about to go?" My father said. I couldn't make eye contact. "I need to find Storm." I whispered slightly loudly. There was a slight gasp.

Luna Katara was standing behind me. Behind her, a little girl stood. Her strawberry blonde hair sticking up in every direction. Her excited orange eyes showed worry. "Ruby?" I said bending down. My sister ran into my arms. I hugged her back. I put my hand in her hair and pulled her head back. "What are you doing here? It's not safe for you, you haven't shifted yet." I pulled her back into a hug.

I stood up and was struck by an electric jolt of energy. Sapphire said that Storms going to try to get out tonight! Harry said. I took a step back, putting my hand to my head. "Jake?" "What's wrong?" "Are you ok?" The voices turned to hums.

I turned and ran into the trees. I heard the rips of the clothes as I shifted. I have to stop her. I thought. I couldn't let my mate jump out of a window!
