Storms POV
Nothing Sapphire could say would make me change my mind. She was the one that wanted to find our mate. Now she didn't want me to jump out the window to do it? Storm, please. Don't do this. She pleaded to me as I glazed out the window. You wanted me to find him. So now I'm going to. I thought back. I climbed out of the window onto the window sill. The door banged open, the hinges breaking. I turned around, startled, and...
A few hours ago
I managed to convince Luna Sky and Alpha Jace that I was somewhat Ok. Sapphire was still bugging me but she was more quite than usual. I was allowed to go into the library now. I had spent a lot of time in there. I even managed to get them to let me down stairs to eat breakfast and dinner with the rest of the pack.
It took a few days for everyone to stop watching me out of the corner of their eyes. Soon, I would have to sneak out though. Storm, I'm not so sure about this anymore. Sapphire said shakily. I growled internally at her. You said you wanted to find Jacob. This might be the only ways to do it. I ignored her growled of protest and opened the door to join everyone for dinner. Lunch, I was still to eat upstairs in a guarded room. I was finally able to keep solid foods down again.
Since I woke up the first time, I wasn't able to hold anything, hence the IV tube. But now the IV tube was gone but not forgotten. It still hung behind the bed just in case I needed it again. Either way, I wouldn't be here. If I became a rouge then it wouldn't matter. I just wanted to find Jacob. Somehow I would be able to find him and make sure he was Ok. I followed my normal, or severely unnormal depending on you point of view, way down stairs.
The rest of the pack was already eating. I grabbed a tray and took my usual spot next to Luna Sky. I heard the mutters, which I usually tried to ignore. After dinner, I went back to the fourth floor and got my things so I could make the guards think I was jut getting ready to take a shower. I waited for nighttime to tell the guards I was going to the bathroom. They followed me until I closed the door. I locked it behind me. I set my clothes down.
I had grabbed a black shirt, most of my clothes were either black, white or light grey, and a black pair of pants. I had hidden the clothes in my towel so the guards wouldn't see them. They were a pair of hiking-type gear I hadn't use before. If they had saw them, it would have given my plan away. Storm please. Sapphire said, her whine was loud in my ears. I shook my head a I changed into the clothes. I turned the shower on and waited.
After about ten minutes, I turned the water off. I walked to the window, nobody was outside. I opened the window, the old thing making a loud creaking sound. The guards knocked on the door. Sapphire whined for me to stop.
I heard something out in the forest but I tried to ignore it. I hesitated still. The door banged open, the hinges breaking. I turned around, startled, and turned my head back to the forest. The guards told me to stop. I saw a flicker of movement in the bushes. A small gasp came but I barely heard it. I took one foot off the window sill.
The guards yelled for me to stop. Their voices were so close that I jumped, hitting my head on the top of the window. My other foot slipped off the window sill. "Storm!" A voice said. I tumbled down through the air. I closed my eyes as the ground came closer. Oddly enough, I never felt the hard impact I had been expecting. Instead, I felt a pair of arms catch me, only to be knocked over by my momentum of the fall.
I kept my eyes closed even though I knew I had failed the escape. I felt the arms hold me into a really tight hug. If this was a guard, why were they hugging me? Sapphire howled in joy. I opened my eyes slowly. "What were you thinking! What were you thinking?" Someone said. The voice, the feeling that was running through me. It wasn't sadness that I failed, it was joy, an electric current that I knew well enough. I looked up.
I was on the ground, in someone's lap. A pair of white knee length shorts were there. I looked around. The person that was still holding me didn't let go. They had a white shirt on, even though it was covered in dirt. I looked at who it was and gasped.
I wrapped my arms around him. How is this possible? I thought to myself. I talked to his wolf. I told them what you were planning. Sapphire said. Now I get why she had been so concerned. Sapphire had talked to HIS wolf. My side no longer hurt anymore. The hole had been filled.
The sound of something in the forest, the movement, and the sound of someone calling my name as I fell? It was all him, he didn't die. I let him hold me in his arms.
